How Globalization affects Climate Change
Climate change refers to the alteration of the climate patterns regionally or globally. Climate changes could be one of the most daunting issues encountered by human beings. However, economic globalization may be accelerating it even faster. Globalization has led to deforestation, encouraged long-distance transportation, and increased industries that increase carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. When carbon dioxide is excessive in the atmosphere, it will trap the sun’s heat resulting in the rise of temperatures on the earth. This paper aim is to discuss how global warming has escalated or quickened climate change.
Globalization has led to deforestation to create room for industries and homes for the workers, which have indirectly, quicken climate change. Trees and vegetation are essential during photosynthesis because they release oxygen to the atmosphere and use carbon dioxide (“Deforestation and Its Effect on the Planet,” 2017). Therefore, when trees are cut down, there will be an increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which would trap heat and in turn will lead to an escalation of temperatures that would affect climate change.
Therefore, globalization has led to industrialization, to enable many countries produce more good to meet the increased demand, however this industries release gases that quicken climate change. Globalization has resulted in the creation of industries.
Wait! how does globalization effect climate change paper is just an example!
Most of the created industries use fossil fuel to accomplish the various industrial activities. Burned fossil fuels release various greenhouse gases to the atmosphere including carbon dioxide. Too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would trap heat in the atmosphere contribute to global rise in temperature that would cause changes in the atmosphere (“Top 5 Causes and Effects of Global Warming,” 2010”.)
Globalization has accelerated climate changes because of the vehicles increased use of fossil fuels that emit greenhouse gases. Since globalization involves exchange of good between various countries. It will require the use of vehicles for the long distance transportation (Rolle, & Polychroniou, 2016). Currently many vehicles use fossil fuels such as gasoline, which emit a lot of carbon dioxide and other gases to the atmosphere, the released gases trap the sun’s heat, which increase warming of the atmosphere resulting in climate change worldwide.
From the above it is evident that globalization has escalated climate change worldwide. Since it has led to cutting down of trees that is needed to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. It has led to increased creation of companies that release carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. It has also encouraged long-distance transportation that makes use of vehicles that emit greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. The increased greenhouse gases including carbon dioxide in the atmosphere trap heat from the sun and cause global rise of temperature hence altering the climate.
