How can a human resources department play a vital role in partnering with an organization to achieve its strategic objectives?
Human resource managers understand better the company’s goals, vision and mission, therefore plays a vital role in partnering with all the departments in an organization to achieve its goals. They may also partner with the outside organizations with the aim of achieving the company’s objective (Li, Wang, Van, Lee & Ma, 2017). They play a very significant role in knowledge acquisition, retention, training, development and performance planning. The HR department cooperate with the company’s director to advise them on the measures to be followed in the acquisition of top talent and the commensurate compensation to retain them. Their role is to ensure that they have authentic strategies to maintain the productivity of the company in the long term. They also help in giving the company decisions of the organizational structure that best suits the company’s business model. The HR helps maintain the company’s culture by partnering with the employees communicating to them about the importance of working towards attaining the goals of the company. They make sure that the employees don’t waste the valuable time by setting time tracking systems in the company. Therefore, HR managers more associate to business rather than an employee.
What are different ways the HR department can measure whether its strategic partnership is adding value?
Turnover measurement is the first metric measures to show whether the strategic plans made by the HR is adding value or not.
