Human Development Theories and Moral Development

Among the theories that could give a better understanding for human development are the theory of cognitive development and sociocultural theory. First, cognitive development theory refers to how children reflect, explore and understand things. This develops skills such as problem solving and attitudes, which facilitates children to think and understand the world that surrounds them (Help Me Grow, 2015). Second, sociocultural theory emphasizes the interaction between developing people and the culture in which they live. Culture is an important part of people, since they influence their values and point of view of seeing situations (Cherry, 2019).

Moral development is an essential part, since it acts as a guide regarding what an acceptable behavior is. As parents it is important to promote the orientation of obedience and punishment, because this will be the guide for our children to know the consequences of their actions, either by reward or punishment. Also, teach them that laws and rules must be obeyed because they are fundamental to conserve the social order. Also, having the ability to teach these values and morals in the family will help us to have more responsible adults (Feldman, 2014).

The stages of death can be the duel stages. The five of stages can occur in many situations and we can mention some of them such as: death, divorce, relationship of relationship with a boyfriend (a), abortion, loss of work, terminal disease, moving to another place, natural disasters, betweenothers.

In the last stage, acceptance, their emotions begin to stabilize and explore new options (Coon & Mitteter, 2016).

Finally, the study of the stages and theories of human development are essential to understand the progressive series of changes in the schemes of structure, function, and behavior that happen in the different stages of life (APA, 2010). This knowledge helps psychologists can help people overcome development obstacles and so that they can achieve their maximum potential every day. Also, it is very important to know how vital it is to teach our children of values and morals, since that depends on our society being more responsible with their actions.
