Humans without essence and stereotypes

Why do we try to fool ourselves when judging? When we follow a stereotype we put aside our true identity and go on to make one more of the crowd, when trying to fit we lose originality. When we categorize people, erroneous trials arise and we just look at the appearance, we also refuse the opportunity to meet a new person, this type of problem generates differences in society carrying with them serious consequences.

"You never judge a book on its cover, because you could miss a great story" -anonym

Stereotypes arise since our mind is constantly categorizing around us, because we have an ability to simplify what surrounds us this brings us as a consequence impressions, prejudices and labels created in a generalized way

The term stereotype derives from the Greek, being a word formed by the union of the Stereós words, which means ‘solid’, and týpos, which means ‘impression, mold’, that is, “solid impression”. These types of ideas have been repeated over time, have been reproduced by cultures and replicated in the media, such as television, internet and are often used in humorous programs, to the point that people come to see how somethingnormal criticize a person for their appearance.

In young people this issue is very influential in its day to day, since in order to fit into a social group they try to resemble other people, thus losing their essence.

The stereotypes can be: social type according to the social class of which they proceed, cultural according to the customs they have or racial according to the ethnic group of which they are part.

Wait! Humans Without Essence And Stereotypes paper is just an example!

Anyway, stereotypes are usually joined by joining these three characteristics, so it is very difficult to completely separate them from each other. It should also be noted that there are stereotypes linked to religion.

A very common example of stereotype is "men do not cry" a phrase that is so absurd, which conditions men not to be able to express their feelings sincerely, since they fear being judged, this stereotype is associated with that "Girls by nature are soft and sweet, and boys, on the contrary, abrupt and strong »which has influenced establishing relationships of domination and submission.

Another example of a very listened to gender stereotype is "the woman does not have enough authority to occupy managerial positions" This is a wrong thought that has most of society, currently women have shown that they have the same capacity asmen to occupy high positions and lead a group of people.

Other people consider that a stereotype is to follow a trend which has become popular for the simple fact that a famous person has taken into account this is more used in the advertising field in order to get the attention of people and promote the saleof the products.

In this aspect we can appreciate the stereotype of the Mandona wife "change the bulb". "Take out the trash". "You will not go out in any way with that shirt". Do you sound like this retahíla of orders? Surely yes. Advertising is full to the bumps of bossy wives and submissive men. The question is: how much are there really in this advertising stereotype? What is clear is that the role that develops in this type of examples (in advertising and everywhere) is machismo. However, these stereotypes or behaviors are modified and adjusting to the reality that corresponds to a given time, so these patterns or prejudices are variable.

However, although stereotypes may present positive or negative appreciations, they almost always have negative aspects, hence the importance of instilling tolerance and understanding that all individuals are different.

In conclusion, stereotypes have a real part. However, being based on the general observation of a group and not an individual leads us not to realize the infinity of exceptions that exist. But if we let ourselves with these, they cannot lead to discrimination and creation of damages. Therefore, it is in ourselves to try to change some concepts of certain stereotypes in order to achieve as a result we find ourselves equally to be able to choose our true identity, instead of doing so from a pre -established script that covers numerous inequalities.
