Opinion on Immigration
Immigration is a controversial issue in the United States with concerns arising from the impact it has on the security and economic stability of the nation. The history of the United States indicates that the immigrants are the founders of the sovereign country. People from different parts of the world immigrated into the nation and developed the country to its status. Legal immigration into the United States allows the local citizens to understand the cultures of these people’s republic of origin. The essay seeks to assess the effect of immigration on the lives of American people (Suro).
Although immigration is a great thing as it allows diversity in the society, Americans accuse illegal immigration of reducing job employment opportunities as well as the rise of radicalism in the American community. Although economists argue that immigrants provide readily available labor for industries, which has a positive influence on the economy, they are increasing work exploitation by employers (Suro). Employers are now reluctant to comply with workers’ rights due to readily available labor from immigrants who also lack necessary information on such rights.
Immigration leads to excessive pressures on housing. The abrupt increase in the population growth results in more demand for housing. This rapid growth in population puts unexpected pressure on the authorities in providing sufficient housing to immigrants. The lack of adequate housing often results in ghettoization within residential areas in America because immigrants tend to live in low-income localities.

Wait! Immigration paper is just an example!

A large population in the slums causes overcrowding leading to lack of appropriate sanitation and poor delivery of social services. However, some Americans hold a different opinion on immigration (Suro). Migration enriches the culture of the American people. With diverse cultural identities from immigrants of various nationalities, the opportunity for Americans to learn about other cultures is immense. Learning about a new culture offers a better understanding of the way people live thereby decreasing possible discrimination. One way that provides a learning opportunity is cultural festivities by immigrants where all residents take part in different activities. Immigrants contribute to cultural integration in the American society. Incorporating diversity fosters a peaceful community.
In conclusion, illegal immigration negatively affects the lives of the Native Americans by increasing competition for locally available employment opportunities. Illicit Immigrants threaten the security of the country through radicalization members of the community. However, they also contribute positively to the economy of the United States by increasing levels of productivity at low operating costs. It is essential that the federal government of the US ensure that immigration is strictly legal to eliminate illegal immigration.
