Importance of the Navy in the development of a country

Introduction

The history of humanity is full of wars, revolutions and military coups. It seems that armies have played a very important role in the construction of the world as we know today. Most countries have armed forces specialized in land, aerial and sea bodies. Now, a small group of countries does not have an army, how will they defend themselves to defend themselves? And the best question, defend who or what?

Although these countries try to fool us saying that they owe nothing to anyone and that is why they do not have armed forces, we must indicate that we know their particular interests and that is why we indicate that, although officially they are not called armed forces, they have an armed component disguised as a police officer as a police officer which its special mission is to protect the most important commercial routes such as seaways.

This reason forces States to opt for the use of floating units representing national armeds in defense service. There is no country that does not have a naval force and neither arrested, since there is no country that does not have aquatic spaces for its economic development and that must protect.

Importance of the Navy in the development of a country

The Navy (or Navy) of a country is an institutional organization belonging to a particular country whose institution must be permanent, the missions of these organizations at a global level fit into “the use of naval power for external defense and help in the internal security of the country ”(Olivares, 2018), in accordance with the terms established by the maximum national legislation, the laws that derive from it and international treaties.

Among the responsibilities that an Navy must be fulfilled, they can be mentioned:

• Cooperate with the maintenance of the constitutional order of the State
• Protect maritime, river and lake traffic, navigable interior waters, as well as establish the areas restricted to navigation, including the corresponding air spaces, in coordination with the competent and in accordance authorities the national and international legal instruments.
• Safeguard human life through search and rescue operations in marine and coastal areas.
• Carry out scientific, oceanographic, meteorological, biological and maritime research activities, acting for themselves or in collaboration with other national or foreign institutions.
• Manage and promote naval education in the country. Participate in the organs of the jurisdiction, and the others that indicate the applicable provisions and entrust the supreme command. (Chile, 2017)

Once the responsibilities of a national or navy war of war have been cited, its importance can be visualized when imagining the lack of an institutionalized organization that must comply with all of the above.

There are currently forty -four countries that do not have a way out of the sea, these countries are called states without coastline. In America there are only two, while in Europe fourteen, on other continents such as Asia twelve and in Africa sixteen, in the case of the oceanic continent all their countries have exit to the sea, since this insular continent is surrounded mostly By the Pacific Ocean.

From this account, it is worth mentioning that there are some countries that, despite not having a direct contact with the seas, have a completely organized and firmly instituted army in the legislation of their country, such is the case of the Bolivian Naval Force La Force Boliviana La which has trained and trained personnel. When the force was established, Bolivia had access to the Pacific Ocean, however, it lost control of its coastal territory in the Pacific War. Now, the Bolivian Navy displays its maritime patrols through Lake Titicaca and the largest rivers in Bolivia. He also had a permanent naval unit deployed in the Argentine city of Rosario. For some Bolivians, the Navy serves as a symbol that the country has not resigned to recover its lost access to the sea.

Although Paraguay is a country without exit to the sea, it has a strong naval tradition, due to the fact that it has access to the Atlantic Ocean through the Paraguay-Paraná rivers. The Paraguayan Navy has twelve bases. The main base is the Saxony port, in Asunción. Naval personnel, including Marine Infantry and Aviation Personnel and the Naval Guard of Equality of 1950. The Marine Infantry has 800 Marina Infants, of which 400 are assigned to a command unit and the rest is organized in a single battalion formed by three companies.

There are considerable reasons for some countries without exit to the sea, choose to maintain an armed. As long as a river or lake possesses that is part of a national border, countries may feel the need to protect and monitor the border with a military force. In some regions, roads can be unreliable or vulnerable, however, a river or lake can be the easiest way to move its military forces throughout the country. Such is the case of Laos, a city that has minor draft patrols to patrol in the Mekong River who represents an important characteristic of the country’s geography. It is believed that around two or three dozen small ships operate because the Mekong River forms a considerable part of the border with Laos, the mission of this small Navy is to control said border.

And as a last example, Serbia is mentioned who, after the separation of Montenegro, became a country without exit to the sea. Montenegro, whose territory is on the banks of the Adriatic Sea, has inherited almost all the naval components of the former Union. Serbia, however, did not remain without any naval property of all. Inherited a flotilla of river patrols and assault ships that operate on the Danube river. Currently, the Navy Flotilla Serbias works as a real navy, with all the ranks and positions of a much larger and more complex war of war. (78, 2012)

Conclusions

It can be seen that some countries do not have the oceans and due to this reason, the national economy is not the best. In some cases, economic problems are due to the high cost of imports through terrestrial roads. This is why maritime or river routes are a considerable entity for all nations. These ways are transformed into vulnerable and coveted points.

Interested countries, at the time of having any of these roads, must seek ways to legally protect them with standards established globally as it is through a properly organized and officially instituted army for their international recognition.

Some countries recognize the importance of maintaining a powerful naval component integrated and duly constituted as a guarantee of maritime power and the use of commercial roads. Such is the case of Bolivia and Paraguay in the American continent.

The permanence of the armed of any country represents a naval power that imposes its commitment to international trade and their right over the sea.
