Labor laws should cover every employee for they work to help in the emancipation of employees and protection of both the employee and employer. In that regard, the rules need to favor both sides in the fairest way. Soldiers just like other civil worker have rights to be protected, and for that case, they have room to be party to trade unions. In the past years, soldiers and police officers were not allowed to join trade unions and any movement that works in line with employee protection against any form of malice arising from their employer which in this case is the government (Marion and John, 2015). Soldiers have had difficult times in the past working for the employer without raising complaints; it is the right point in time for soldiers to set foot in trade unions so that most of their claims about salary increment, welfare, and other needs are addressed just like any other civil workers. For the immediate above to take place, then the soldiers have nothing, in particular, to go for other than looking for the right avenue to champion their rights via the use of trade unions (Tom & Kate,1999).

Employers have all it takes to refuse any creation of an organization even though not in solitude. The move to stop the creation of an organization can only come out successful through a concerted effort of the employees (Budd, 2017). Just as an employee have a right of joining or not joining an organization, the creation of an organization cannot be decided by a single employee.

Joining a union is not free at all. An employee can only enter a union through payment of a non-refundable subscription fee. The fee is for processing the registration by the union and in most cases as shown by unions the employee on joining later pays a monthly subscription fee for regular and continuous membership (Budd, 2017).
