Question 1
An apostrophe is a figurative language used in pieces of literature with the same effect as personification. However, in an apostrophe, the writer addresses the object as if it were present. The speaker in ‘When We Two Parted’ is addressing a lover who brought shame to him because she cheated on him even though he still loved her.
Question 2
The metaphor used in ‘Childe Harolde’s Pilgrimage’ is “Of youthful sports was on thy breast to be.” This metaphor suggests that the ocean natured the speaker just as the breast of a woman feeds and natures a child as it plays with it. The ocean natured the speaker’s character as played with it.
Question 3
In ‘She Walks In Beauty,’ the speaker uses effortless quality of light to tell about the effortless beauty of the woman he is talking about. Just like the light does not try to impress but does so effortlessly, the woman beauty impresses those looking at her without her trying. Even in darkness, it is as clear as light in the darkness.
Question 4
The speaker in ‘Childe Harolde’s Pilgrimage’ seems to love and to respect the ocean. He respects it because just like a parent raises and natures her child, the ocean has natured and taken care of him. He says, “For I was as it were a child of thee.” His relationship to the ocean is like the parent-child relationship.
Question 5
The speaker in ‘Childe Harolde’s Pilgrimage’ despises human beings. He feels that man’s efforts are not as stable as those of the ocean are since his civilizations and what he builds eventually falls but the ocean remains consistent over time.

Question 6
In ‘Ozymandias,’ Shelly admires the nature’s ability to fight back. To him, therefore, nature is kind as it gives human beings the raw materials and not weak as it can reclaim them when it has a reason to. In ‘Ode to the West Wind’ Shelley admires the power that (wind) nature has over us and seems to accept that nature is in control (Kapstein, 1936). He admires how the wind controls everything and even wishes that it would carry his work to the ‘unawakened’ earth. In ‘To a Skylark,’ Shelley seems to admire the mystery of nature. He writes, “What thou art we know not.” The more mysterious something or someone is, the more interesting. Shelley admires nature because it can behave like human beings. Shelley gives life and emotions to nature just like the human being, nature can give and take, control, and has more to it than meets the eye. Shelly seems to think that humans and nature should have a healthy relationship whereby they can help each other. In stanza 4 line 1, Shelley writes, “Make me thy lyre.” In the same stanza she continues, “Drive my dead thoughts over the universe.” Here one sees that Shelly would love to have a good relationship with nature, which would allow helping each other.

To be honest, I hate writing. That’s why when my professor assigned me with coursework, I just took the easy way out and hired StudyZoomer to assist me. I’m absolutely satisfied with the result, no flaws.
