Masters of Nursing Admission Essay
As a registered nurse of 4 years, I desire to become a family nurse practitioner. I have a diverse background in gastroenterology nursing, dialysis nursing, and correctional nursing. My passion for becoming a family nurse practitioner is motivated by the fact that I want to be in a position of helping other people. I currently work as a correctional nurse where I serve in the urgent care clinic, infirmary, medical intake and general health assessment clinic. My goal is to undergo proper training to be in a position to work with patients and therefore make their lives better through diagnosing diseases, carrying out examinations and prescribing medication.
I intend to pursue this career for personal fulfillment. It will be an excellent opportunity for me to contribute to the overall well being of others making sure that they receive the right treatment so that they can have a long and healthy life. I believe that helping others is my calling and becoming a family nurse practitioner will allow in nursing people to health and happiness. There is also an excellent opportunity for me to practice independently. Independent practice will let me work without barriers that prevent nurse practitioners from providing the needed health care services. Pursuing a family nurse practitioner career will provide an ample opportunity to work across the entire healthcare settings.

As the demand of healthcare practitioners is rising, I believe that I can benefit from getting a job that I desire and that is well paying (Stewart 34).
Pursuing a family nurse practitioner career will open doors for me to pursue other careers related to nursing. Nursing education or nursing research can be pursued when one has the skills of a family nurse practitioner. I love this career since it focuses on preventive care. I will be delighted to help people reduce the risk of chronic illnesses. Some of these diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and hypertension kill many people in the USA. I would be happy to work with patients in preventing these diseases so that they can be happy and live for long
Becoming a family nurse practitioner is fascinating and varied. Every minute that I spend in the workplace would count. I expect exciting things to happen and therefore boredom will not be an issue since I will enjoy working in this field. It will be my pleasure to impact and change the lives of people who are helpless and need medical attention. This career will help me work with people of all genders, ages, and ethnicity. I will be happy to give me advice, for example, to offer advice to older people on how they can become healthy by maintaining flexibility (Stewart 45).
Healthcare reforms are essential in the society today, and there is a need for people who push them forward so that they can be implemented. I intend to pursue this career and afterward and be on the forefront of advocating for health care reforms that would help in reducing many health care problems that exist in our society today. Becoming a family nurse practitioner will earn my respect from peers, family and community members. I will do my best to graduate with the best grade. I aspire to be a role model for those intending to pursue the same career and therefore be of help to others in the society.
