Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee perform Despacito, a Latin reggeaton. The artistic work of the two artists has received major success globally. The song takes music lovers back to the early 2000s when reggaeton was popular. The songs received enormous success in the music world, represented by the huge number of views it gathered in YouTube. Although many viewers do not understand the Spanish language, the video interpretation represents normal day-to-day life experienced by the majority of people. The video represents a people, and their social and cultural activities (Grazian, 2010). The video focus on the general life experienced by the majority of people globally, therefore increasing its target population. The power of the online media platform assists in distributing the song over a wide demographic.
The video begins by showing the ocean, which is a representation of the environment. The young child and the fowl represent nature and life form. The statue of Mary mother of Jesus is the significance of religion. The girl and the serene environment introduce the beauty of life and a new day. These representations of normal life communicate to the audience by giving them a reflection of their lives. Therefore, although many viewers might not comprehend the words in the song, they see their own lives in the video, which is the reason for the great number of views the song received (Grazian, 2010).

People recognize culture when represented in things that they can easily relate to (Grazian, 2010). The video storyline represents normal activities and leads to the beautiful girl and the man dancing together and finally interlocked in a romantic position. This signifies the nature and the process leading to love. The old and the young enjoying a game show harmony in the society. The drums played in the video signify samba dance, a popular dance in the Latin American countries. The song introduces a different form of nightlife fun. While most videos focus on wild fun, the club representation in the song shows a place where the old and the young mingle to enjoy music and dance. The song beats are easy to memorize while some the words, though in Spanish are easy to remember. An example is a title, Despacito, and the repetitive word, pasito.
The video signifies the need for harmony in the society and the environment. The environment in the video is clean and the beach unpolluted. The song speaks to the majority of people in the visual perspective by focusing on issues that occur in the normal life setting experienced by the majority. Most music videos focus on the luxury point of view of life. Despacito captures the normal life experienced by a people together with the social activities that are associated with the society.
