The global burden of disease is an international organization equipped with the role of collection and systemization of data of diseases that have a significant burden on the economy. The data from this body is useful in comparing the impacts of various conditions in different countries. This study, therefore, was aimed at collecting and analyzing data from the large CBD 2010 database which then would provide accurate information on the importance of the neurological disorders and its stand in the global disease map. This condition in Norway is also compared to comprehensive data on other countries related to the same condition (Stovner, Hoff, Svalheim, & Gilhus, 2014).
The GBD 2010 classified various conditions under neurological disorders which include Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s diseasePD0, multiple sclerosis (MS), epilepsy and tension-type headache (TTH). It also includes other conditions treated by the neurologist in Norway such as the cerebrovascular disease, low back and neck pain. Each state has weights and units of percentages in measures of YLDs (years lived with disability), DALYs (disability-adjusted life year) and YLLs (years of life lost).
The results show that high levels of YLLs are due to purely neurological disorders in Norway thus representing the high mean population. High percentages of DALYs in Norway as a result of neurological conditions are revealed to be more common than a global perspective.

Wait! Neurological disorders in the Global Burden of Disease 2010 study paper is just an example!

The study also indicates a great importance in the disability conditions with AD being the highest contributing factor.
The “Global Burden of Disease 2010” has significant data on disease burden useful for comparisons with other countries and conditions. The relevant stakeholders should, therefore, use the results in the making of health policies, systems and allocation of resources in health care. The article extracts information of neurological disease in Norway and places the condition at a global perspective. The conditions are of great importance for public health and the formulation of healthcare systems. Finally, the report recommends suggestions to be implemented in various aspects such as medication of a migraine and headaches, allocation and budgeting of functional medicine in Norway, and a systematic approach in neurological health treatments.
