Opinion on Article Review
Transition: After my second point, I will now express my view on the two articles.
The initial article is titled “THREATENED AND DAMAGED: PROTECTING SACRED PLACES” by Suzan Shown Harjo published in 2013. It is about the current and future threats of sacred places. It also describes each sacred site and its significance to the different Native Tribes. The second article appears on usnews.com titled “Uranium Mining’s Past Colors Mount Taylor Mine’s Future” by Kathy Helms. It was posted on May 23, 2018. It speaks about the threats of uranium mining in sacred regions. It speaks specifically on Mount Taylor.
My view on the first article is that it is well researched and informative. My judgment while reading this article is that it was an educational piece for someone not well versed with the topic. It is written in a style that is simple to understand. This article speaks about several themes based on one issue. It gave a detailed explanation of all subjects that were part of the article. All the information is backed up by credible sources that are from reputable organizations such as US Geological Survey and copyrights from the University of Pennsylvania.
The article gives a vast background on the topic. It introduces the subject with definitions to make it easier for the reader to understand the goal of the publication. The history of the matter is in the article to enable the reader to recognize why the content is important.

Wait! Opinion-article review revised paper is just an example!

It, however, does not include the current state of the issues discussed, therefore, lacking a follow-up. In my view, the article should have given personal opinions instead of generalizing.
The information is clarified with the various photographs from trustworthy sources like Flickr. All photographers are given credit while the year the photo was taken is also included. Alongside all the images, a clear definition describing the object is written to explain to the reader the content of the picture. The photos are clear so even if one has not visited the locations shown, you then know precisely how the place looks.
My opinion on the second publication is it was unbiased in expressing the views. The writer used subtitles to lead the reader in knowing who was giving viewpoints about the subject. The source is a credible website which is usnews.com. The title is catchy, and one immediately recognizes the subject matter of the article. The date and time of the when the online article was published is indicated thereby clarifying on the timeliness. This article relies more on current activities than previous ones.
The article indicates the source of information like the Associated Press and Gallup Independent. The article is not the writer’s opinion, instead encounters of several people affected in one way or another regarding the issue. There are no photographs of these people, but their roles in contributing to the content are part of the information.
The research in the article was clear. Direct quotes from people interviewed were used throughout the article to back up information. The online report cites exact locations, dates and years of when specific activities took place. However, the article does not contain any photographs describing venues spoken about in the article. This one-themed article is well organized and brief, making it easy to grasp information.
