In Healthcare, leadership and management change is a vital reform that should be implemented to improve the quality of services and resource used in the healthcare facilities. Creating cultures that are aimed at changing the leadership systems in healthcare is essential as reports indicate that there are challenges in our healthcare that can be addressed by good management at all levels of the sector (West et al., 2014). There are some issues that have been necessitating a review of the way in which health sector is being run. A major problem that has been identified is the acute lack of understanding and cooperation among the health staff that has resulted in poor patient outcomes. Additionally, misappropriation of funds has been linked to rogue leaders managing the health facilities, a situation that has led to poor service delivery. According to Dorros, there is a dire need for leadership and managerial competencies at all levels considering the constant-changing healthcare systems. Therefore, new approaches, such as decentralization of the existing health system, for strong and reliable leadership to be realized (Dorros, 2015).
Leadership and management change on the health care impacts positively on the healthcare organization.
