GMO is the abbreviation of Genetically Modified Organisms. There are two types of food: Organic food and GMO food. It is clear that organic food is healthier than GMO because it is natural. Because there is an increase in demand, scientists have invented new ways to improve food (fruit, vegetables, and meats). These improvements might help the consumers in their life. At these days, people should stop consuming GMO, because it has huge differences than the organic food. Moreover, It is essential that GMO is banned from stores and markets.
To start with, GMO foods contain chemical ingredients that are detrimental to human health. When people buy food, they buy their health as well. If the food is organic, there is no debate, good health is guaranteed! But if the food is non-organic, the consumer should be wary how the scientists and traders made this type of food. GMO food poses several health risks to consumers. The chemicals used in GMO foods have the potential to alter human genetics, as well as cause deadly diseases to consumers. From the foregoing, organic food is undoubtedly healthier than GMO.
In addition, the chemicals change the shape and the taste of food. GMO does not have the natural size, taste or shape. For example, the natural color of tomato is red. However, the chemicals that are used in growing GMO tomato will it change its color and smell. Alternatively, the tomato becomes different than usual.

Further, when you look at organic fruits and vegetables, you will realize they have uniform standard sizes, in contrast to GMO ones that have uneven sizes all the time. Also, the taste is different. For example, natural apple is small and sour, but GMO is big and sweet. A further proof is in natural meat, which is tastier as compared to GMO meats. In light of the above, it is undisputed that genes are vital for agricultural products.
GMO do not have the superior benefits that are abundant in organic food. There is a funny story about a consumer in the U.S, who forgot a hamburger in his jacket, and then kept the jacket in a closet. After one year he has worn his jacket and alas, he found the hamburger still in the pocket. What is freakish in this story is that the hamburger had the same taste and smell, after a whole year!
The most important element of food is that it should benefit the consumer healthwise. It should provide nourishment to the body.
It is important to note that non-organic food decomposes faster than organic food. For example, scientists take part of DNA from organic plants, and they used it to create new plants. Furthermore, they put some chemical elements to preserve non-organic foods for long. Unfortunately, vital nutrients such as vitamins and proteins will not survive this long, as DNA cells replicate themselves over and over again, with the resultant cells being poor than the previous ones.
Another significant difference between organic and non-organic foods is in the price. Organic food is more expensive than GMO food. However, the lower price of GMO does not necessarily justify it as an alternative everyday food. For example, Publix is one of the famous stores selling organic food in the U.S. They sell a bag of tomatoes that has four pieces at 3,99$. On the other hand, the price of the non-organic bag with the same quantity sells at 1.99$. The price of organic potatoes per bag that has seven pieces is 3,99; the same quantity of non-organic potatoes is 1,99$. The price of organic apples per bag that has seven pieces is 4,99; the same quantity of non-organic apples is 2,99$. Moreover, Consumers count the price by one piece, and it depends on how many pieces they want. For instance, when a consumer divides the total of price over the pieces, they get the price per piece, and this will show the exact prices in these types of food. Indeed, consumers should put this in mind; that the difference between the prices is not that high, to warrant buying non-organic foods. Moreover, consumers not only buy the face value of organic foods, but they also buy their health in these super-foods; the organic foods. Finally, the higher prices of organic food offer better value than the lower prices of non-organic, thus the higher price is justified healthwise, as we all know health is wealth.
In a nutshell, there are significant differences between organic and non-organic food in such aspects as taste, shape, size and value. Chemical ingredients that are added to non-organic food might entice some consumers because prices become cheaper. However, as previously stated, chemical ingredients have devastating effects on the food, which in effect is detrimental to human health. Consequently, deadly diseases may be contracted. In as much as organic food is more expensive than non-organic, the health benefits of organic foods cannot be underrated. As such, there is no debate, organic food is better than GMO.
