Abstract
This essay reviews Dell’s philosophy and how it would be perceived in a low performing culture. The organization’s philosophy that innovates in the entrepreneurial sector is the key aspect to business success and a critical part of changing management that is addressed in this paper. Despite the fact that Dell was the third largest personal computer producer it was not performing well but there was no plan to leave the market and sink the company. With this in mind Dell grew significantly for some time but things started going downwards later. The essay also identifies the best performing culture for change management and Dell’s approach to building its brand. Dell’s believes that innovativeness in the entrepreneurial sector is the key aspect to business success, especially in the current dynamic consumer market. The reason for this was to shape Dell into a full solutions company especially in a market with a lot of competition.

The current global market which is characterized by stiff competition between business organizations has resulted in a desire for innovation and change by firms as a strategic method of conducting their activities (Abbas and Asghar, 2010). Dell’s Philosophy
This explains why Michael Dell built a core team in the company to address social media platform in 2006 and find a way of integrating it with the company’s functionalities; a field that has dominated in the contemporary technology world. In a low performing culture, employees would be skeptical about this philosophy, especially when they feel that their skills are becoming obsolete. Therefore, a high performing culture is necessary. It can be created by motivated employees through strategies such as offering incentives, allowing them to communicate their ideas freely, rewarding good performance etcetera (Baird, Jia Hu, and Reeve, 2011). Such leadership approach would be beneficial in achieving the business goals.
Dell’s Startup Approach
Dell started his company in his dorm room by assembling computer parts and selling PC’s via a mobile phone. The market conditions were favorable at the time; the demand for PC’s was high thereby enabling the company to grow. However, with reduced demand for PC’s and increased demand for software solutions, the company needed a change to compete with other tech companies.
Dell’s Approach to Building its Brand
Dell uses a mix of marketing strategies to build its brand. It has units in different parts of the world such as India, China, Ireland etcetera. It also invests heavily in customer relationship by ensuring better consumer service and prompt response.
