Physical sciences are shaping the lives of human beings. With the innovation and improvement of scientific concepts in physics, technological advancement is expected in the general industry. Some of the industries that are likely to be affected shortly include the energy, transport and aviation industry among others. With the improvement in technology and rise in production levels, the rate of pollution is expected hence climate change cannot be evaded. As a result, future world leaders will have to enact laws and measures that create a balance between technology, the rise of production and environment conservation.
The energy industry will be affected by the world’s demand for renewable sources of energy. It, therefore, calls for the world leaders to opt for renewable sources of energy such as the geothermal, windmill, nuclear and biogas. Both the renewable sources of energy applies the conventional laws of physics to solve the energy crisis. For instance, the nuclear power plants use the knowledge of nuclear fission to generate electricity through a chain reaction. Electricity is produced by a nuclear reaction involving splitting of a uranium atom. When the atom splits, an enormous amount of energy accompanied with steam is produced that drives the turbines to produce electricity (Marshall & Robert, Par. 2). Electricity from nuclear power plants is the best but poses challenges to the environment and human beings in cases of a meltdown. As a result, world leaders will be faced with the challenge of guaranteeing safety from dangerous radioactive radiation in such instances.

The transport industry is also affected by technological advancement guided by principle physics laws. The increase in world’s population calls for the development of roads and highways that ease congestion and limit traffic jams (Frey, Par. 8). Basic physics principles such as Bernoulli’s equation finds their application in solving traffic problems. Bernoulli’s principle states that an increase in fluid flow results to decrease in pressure and the potential energy of the associated fluid. Since pressure is affected by area, a decrease in the area leads to an increase in pressure and velocity of the fluid. The same is applied to the design of modern highways as they enter the urban centres where land is limited. The broad highways reduce in width due to space and hence to ease congestion; vehicles are required to maintain a certain speed (high velocity). On the flip side, the knowledge of truss and beam analysis, settlement in structural physics is applied to come up with suspension, cable and arch bridges that improve efficiency in road transport.
Despite the technological improvement, climate change has become a problem. The leaders have to ensure that, the innovations and inventions that take place in their country takes into account environmental conservation. Production and manufacturing industries that release greenhouses gases have depleted the ozone layer. As a result, the harmful cosmic rays from the sun enters the earth that can cause skin cancer to human beings (Qin & et al, Pg. 3). The leaders have enacted laws and acts that govern emission of greenhouse gases such as the CFCs. For example, vehicle manufacturing industries will have to implement the design of vehicles fitted with catalytic converters. Catalytic converters turn harmful emitted gases into less poisonous form before it is released into the environment (Nice & Bryant, Par. 4). The measures are meant to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases that depletes the ozone layer leading to a gradual rise in earth temperatures resulting in global warming. If the measures are put in place by world leaders, effects of global warming and the subsequent climate change will be a thing of the past in future.
