Abstract
The main purpose of my research is to discuss green nanotechnology and its effectiveness today. Green nanotechnology refers to using nanotechnology products for sustainability. I focused on this topic because it is relatively new technology compared to other technologies available. Nanotechnology also promises to change the manufacturing process and control pollution (2). In the meantime, this technology will create a clean environment. I already know that this technology is being effective in cleaning contaminated water and make it safe for human use. The central research question is; is nanotechnology cost effective? The other issues to be discussed in this proposal include; how nanotechnology will meet its goals, negative impacts of the technology on living things, production cost involved and environmental implications (3). The principal methodology is by use of publications, journals, and online articles. These will give an in-depth knowledge of the subject.
I.BodySome of the goals of the technology include; cleaning contaminated water, waste management, substituting hazardous chemicals and creating renewable energy sources.

Wait! Proposal paper is just an example!

Others include water filtration, oil spills clean up, removal of plastic wastes from oceans and controlling pollution (2). In my research, I shall look at the role of nanotechnology in solving some of the current problems identified. I shall examine whether the technology can meet the said goals.
Nanoparticles are so small such that the skin can absorb them. The microparticles may pose a danger to the living things and especially human beings in future. Scientists are also not sure what would happen if the particles are inhaled or penetrate into the soil. Countries have therefore had the mandate to research the effects of nanotechnology. My study aims at providing in-depth knowledge of the research done in different countries about nanotechnology. I will answer the question; Is nanotechnology an excellent or harmful invention.
Nanotechnology promises to be a game changer in almost all aspects of life (1). The invention
is in itself welcoming to an extent we are not checking on the cost. In this case, I will answer questions such as; is it cost effective compared to the other conventional methods? Which is the cost of pollution caused during the production process? If the cost is higher than the benefits, there is little incentive in using the technology. Another area is on the effectiveness of nanotechnology. The current methods of waste management and pollution control are highly costly and fail to give the desired effects. The question that arises is whether nanotechnology will substitute the chemical processes and still be useful. The United States government, for instance, invests around three billion dollars in nanotechnology (3). The figure is much higher when I add numbers from other countries. This money may create more jobs and a sustainable environment on one side. On the other hand, this may be a lot of money compared to the existing chemical method. Production of nanotechnologies also consumes large amounts of energy which may be an ineffective method. Production alone consumes 50% of the total energy produced.
II. Summary
Green nanotechnology promises to solve some of the problems we face such as pollution, plastic wastes, and oil spillage. However, the technology has its implications such as pollution and high cost. There is the need for proper research before engaging this form of technology. Otherwise, the technology may bring more loss than profit.
III. Conclusion
In conclusion, pollution and waste management is a serious problem today. All parts of the world are suffering, and therefore nanotechnology may solve these problems efficiently. However, some challenges arise as a result of using the said technology. Some of the issues of concern include cost implications and its effectiveness in solving the problems. Finally, I request you to allow me to proceed with my research following the proposal I have forwarded to you.
