The article gives me an impression that it tries to show how people are discriminated against or even treated differently because of their skin color. It is an article that makes me feel very sad by seeing how people get to be treated in a bad way just because of the skin color that they have. They are considered to be bad people in the society just because they are not white people. I also understood that they are seen to be useless people in the society just because they are black despite the fact that they have been of great help to the society. The article also made me realize that there are very many stereotypes in the society today and they are used to describe people. It is through the stereotypes that people are seen to be different compared to the others.
There are a number of things that Mark Quarles attempts to make in the article. One of them is that black people are avoided, especially since people think that they are harmful in the society. He also tries to show that black people can also have jobs that are decent and live in neighborhoods that are nice. That is because they are hardworking people thus they also contribute a lot in the development of the society. He also tries to show how the black people are perceived to be thieves thus they are always the first suspects when something wrong is done in the society. Black people are also avoided in the society. That happens since the white people do not know how to address the black people especially in a situation where the black person has a decent and good life.

Those are among the many stereotypes that people have regarding the black people in the society. Quarles also tries to show how he believes that his children might have a hard time when growing up especially because they are interracial. One of the children has a dark skin compared to the other one. He believes that they might face some problems as they grow up due to their mixed race
There are no groups that intimidate me in the society due to their appearance. That is because I tend to see people as equal despite the different appearances that they have compared to each other. Therefore, all groups are the same to me.
Some groups are more stereotyped compared to other groups since they are seen to be inferior. In most cases, some groups tend to think that they are superior compared to other people thus they stereotype the others. They stereotype those that they seem to be inferior. That, therefore, shows that the inferior people have a lot of stereotypes that are used to describe them.
I believe that it is the only race that influences how he is treated. That is because people view him differently just because of his skin color. People get very surprised when they realize that he has a decent job and he lives in a very good neighborhood despite the fact that his skin color is different from theirs. One person actually got very shocked to realize that he had two houses. That was very shocking since people that are black are seen to be less fortunate in the society thus they do not own anything.
