Student’s name
Institutional affiliation
Date
Purpose
The primary purpose of the film is to enlighten the people of the existence and threat of racism in American communities. It is also purposed to enhance racial integration, equality, and justice. Racism and segregation are still practiced in institutions, the blacks are being discriminated and are not allowed to occupy positions (Collett, Kelly & Sobolewski, 2010). In the film is notable that the organizing committee of St. Williams High school does not want Herman Boone to be the head coach of its football team just because he is black and yet he performs well.
Question
The key question in the author’s mind could be, why do people believe that racism is the theme of the past and not covered by the media? The author wants to elaborate that racial discrimination and prejudice still lurks in the society. He wants to uncover how the media has turned the blind eye on the issue. The African Americans are still protesting in the streets due to inequalities and injustice of racism.
Information
The popular soccer sports has been used to illustrate to depict racial issue and the way of drawing solution to it. It figures out the training and building of the football team by the use of biracial coaches and members. The movie illustrates how racism has become a hindrance to the performance of Titans.
Concepts
The primary concepts in the movie are gender stereotypes and racial integration. Boone is chosen to be a coach because he is African American over Yoast who is more qualified than him.

Wait! remember the titansor another sports article paper is just an example!

The town of Virginia seems to be breaking social schemas as a way of changing their social life. Sheryl Yoast condemned for her dressing and her passion and love for football (Collett, Kelly & Sobolewski, 2010).
Assumptions
The author has made the assumption that society accepts people just the way they are. There a big assumption that every white American including the football players hated the black African American players. Herman Boone was assumed to be underqualified to be the coach of the football team just because he was African American.
Point of view
The author’s view of racial discrimination is true because although the issue is assumed to be of the past, it is still practiced in some areas and communities in America. We see the blacks demonstrating in the streets and drinking dirty water as compared to the whites. The blacks are still considered inferior (Collett, Kelly & Sobolewski, 2010).
Conclusion
The author concludes that racial discrimination is still a big issue now and in future and will always be an obstacle to the performance of our society and bring severe competition as seen in the movie. People will ever fight due to injustices and inequality based on race as did Herman Boone.
Implication
There will be societal changes as racial integration is embraced. The people with good performance like Herman will find a chance to present to the world.
The issue of gender stereotype and racial discrimination along with its consequences of injustices, inequality, and prejudices will remain or even increase. Women like Sheryl Yoast in the film would always be reprimanded for their passions.
The issue of racial discrimination will not be brought into the light. It will be thought by the people that it was an issue of the past although it is still happening now.
Application
The film has vividly shown that even in our institutions today the issues of injustices and inequality based on gender and race is still practiced and need to be covered by the media. People need to be sensitized and educated on the same as a way of getting rid of the vice now and in future to avoid regrets (Collett, Kelly & Sobolewski, 2010). The decisions made by organizations should be biracial based on qualification and not race or gender or other biased prejudice.
