Introduction

With this work I intend to make visible a black stage of Spain. Many were the women who were in the look during the Francoist era. Some of them were lucky in the outcome of their lives, but unfortunately many others do not. However, more testimonies and more studies that inform us of the reality suffered by women in these years, which not only actively act as militiars but also for actions where in some cases they were false, were tortured andimprisoned. 

Developing

At this dark time in the history of Spain, the woman was the one who lost, both the woman of the national side and the woman of the Republican side. They lost freedom, rights and most importantly, the opportunity to be themselves. The twentieth century will be a very decisive century in the struggle of equality before the law where women revindicated civil rights, religious freedom in public and private centers, end the subordination that women had regarding men, parental rights powerjoint.

As well as, obtaining the age of twenty -one, all this is due to the reality of the society in which they lived. On the other hand, they also fought to obtain political rights. We must not forget that the woman was relegated to the background in society, anchored within the private sphere, such as the house and home decided by the man within this patriarchal society, while the man by decision of thisHe granted him the public sphere. That is why women will try to obtain greater social recognition, seek to express themselves freely, to be able to create associations and meet.

Obtain birth control and abortion decision. It is not a fight, as in some cases it is believed, in the face of male sex, but against the elements that make this male domination and female oppression possible.  To general features, we can establish three large currents for ideology or political ascription: Radical feminism: This group would be formed by feminist groups such as the Terra Group in Valencia or the Lamar Group in Barcelona in. They are feminist women encompassed within groups totally independent of political parties. 

Socialist feminism: Here we find the democratic movement of women, union for the liberation of women, as well as, democratic association of women. These women did not act independently, but are unified within the groups and leftist parties and accepted the double militancy. Intermediate feminism: composed of feminist groups that accepted double militancy, but were not necessarily linked to any political party. As an example we have the Women’s Liberation Front, in Madrid. But what was the position that these groups defended?

The second, on the other hand, defended the relationship between social change and feminism, that is, without social change there is no feminism and, therefore, women’s rights and freedoms was linked to the socialist movement. This position was defended by women such as Clara Campoamor, Rosa Luxembourg or Tristan Flora. The woman’s profile, throughout history, a role associated with the woman who was linked to her composure, education and profile has been stipulated.

All reinforced with patriarchy. The woman during fascism was mired to the patriarchal commandments imposed in society. Submissive, Catholic, weak, cowardly mother and wife, the role of intelligent, courage and heroes was focused on man, where her scope was concentrated in the public while the woman was established the home. As Rosa García says: "The most repeated slogans aimed at women were service, sacrifice and submission to man, to which the Church added modesty, reco and prudence". To do this, a very relevant role was entrusted to advertising.
