The strategic management and policies play an integral part in the healthcare environment. They ensure that there is a balance between the external and internal environment. Through the management and the policies guiding the healthcare environment, the firm can detect their threats, weaknesses, strength and available opportunities (Trinh & O’Connor, 2002). The management also ensures that the work done in the healthcare is conducted in accordance with the set standards of the healthcare (Terzic-Supic et al., 2015). Similarly, it is the management that is responsible for influencing the changes that are required in the healthcare as well as to bring the strategic changes that can make the organization have a positive impact on the activities that they do to the patients (Khan & Huda, 2016). Through the strategic management, the employees can abide by the law set aside to guide their activities.
On policies, however, they make sure that there is uniformity in the activities that are done in the healthcare. For instance, the qualities of care that are provided by the physicians tend to be similar. And also the reception that is given to the patients whenever they enter the premises of the healthcare tends to be of the same quality (Kim, 2016). When the policies are practiced as the daily routine in the healthcare, they become the culture of that particular healthcare or hospital. When it comes to vision and the mission of the organization, they are setting goals that depend on the strategies that are made by the organization’s management (Leahy, 2018).

The provision of quality service to the patients can be achieved by employing the qualified nurses in the healthcare who can abide by the rules and regulations.
