Laws being violated by the teens (Farmer,2017)
The teens are engaging in underage drinking and smoking.
The teens have been found outside past the areas curfew.
The teens are smoking in an area that has not been designated for smoking.
I would first come up to them, ask them for their identification documents if they fail to produce them I would ask for the contacts with their parents. For the ones who will be cooperative in doing this, I would call their parents and inform them to come to the scene and pick their children. As for the teens who are disobliging, I would have them put in the vehicle I use for patrolling and drive them myself to their homes and involve their parents or guardians of their children’s behaviors.
For the parents that I will engage with and respond positively, I would request them to come to pick their children up at the scene. While there I would take part and appeal to them to be more vigilant of the teen’s whereabouts and what they are up to. However, for those parents who will refuse to pick their children from the scene, I would take the children to the station where they will write a statement, and the following day early in the morning I will engage my superiors for permission to bring the uncooperative parents in for questioning. This would not influence my decision on how to handle the situation as it is the first time I would have caught the teens in the situation. In the end, I would give each of the children and their parents a stern warning of repeating the same mistake.

I will then release them.
