The photograph in its evolution has been the bridge between the 19th and 21st centuries, to leave a testimony of humanity, taking steps to changes in its own nature and opening the door to countless areas, such as advertising, photographic art and theJournalism that for its ability to capture images supports the text, what cannot express, documenting the passage of history with photoreport, photojournism and expanded imagination with the development of cinema and photographic art.

Photography has opened a space in art history, from the controversy between painting and photography, it is found as one of the contemporary arts, reaching museums and art galleries and reaching to be quoted in the art market.

 As in the painting, in the photograph there is a creator and a spectator, joining the technique and the concept, can change and modify that thousandth of time, is the eye of the artist that elevates it to creation. That unfolding of the image has had multiple, deep and fast changes especially in the twentieth century. The visual form has evolved from primitive painting, to different techniques, painting, photography, cinema, television, video, digital image with Internet and new technologies.

Today, the digital image is captured at the moment itself and can be visualized, and with a world -scale diffusion through the network.

The advantages of the digital image:

It is not necessary to be a photography professional to capture moments and save memories, there are a variety of cameras that allow it, and with the immediacy of being able to rectify the shot, reproduce it through the computer, television or printer.

The image can be sent by means of any means of data transport, which shortens the time of the development to which it was previously submitted. It can be reproduced without the need for a negative, a file is transferred with the information it contains.

The digital image file does not occupy the place of a traditional one, the cost is a first investment, without having the film and revealed, errors can be corrected. Digital cameras have different options such as recording the voice, video, different types of filters, color correction, or taking the photo in black and white.

The creation of the digital image every day is more frequent due to the advantages it offers, however, there are doubts for its short time of existence. Its long -term conservation, the degradation of the support, the obsolescence of hardware and the format, which is subject to the changes and evolution of the market and constant renewal.

Another disadvantage is credibility, for being susceptible to real image manipulation. Important documents, museums, historical heritage for the previous reasons, generate doubts their conservation, so it requires to have a support.  

The evolution of digital photography is a process in constant change and perfection, becoming accessible to fans and improving the technique for professionals.

 Since prehistoric times the image, representation of an object, has been a means that the human being has used to try to decipher the reality that surrounds him. From a flat surface it becomes a real or imaginary fact, it is to reflect for posterity what we are.

Thanks to industrial and technological development, the registration of time has multiplied, and has opened new communication channels, connecting the entire world without any passport, but with the appropriate means that allow it.
