The invention of the radio, its history

As with the vast majority of inventions, the radio is not born with the same purpose for which we know it today, which is entertainment and the ability to inform the population.

Radio was born as a war tool, since at the end of the S.XIX There was a tension in terms of international relations almost in all countries, which would lead to years later in World War I.

Therefore, many countries decided to invest great resources in a tool that was able to allow their troops to communicate without needing cables, unlike the telegraph, technology used at that time in terms of communications. This is because the battlefields were unpredictable and the installation of cables was not possible to communicate, especially if the battle was carried out in enemy territory.

Although Guglielmo Marconi was initially recognized as the creator of the radio and therefore the creator of the radiocommunications, we cannot say that he is the only person who intervened in the creation of these, since so that the radio could existbefore they had to emerge numerous discoveries which allowed the creation is this.

As we have mentioned above, the invention of the radio depends directly on previous discoveries such as the invention of the voltaic pile created by Alessandro Volta, the theory of the propagation of electromagnetic waves formulated by Maxwell and the discovery of electromagnetic waves by Heinrich R. Hertz, which was possible thanks to implementing Maxwell’s theory on electromagnetic waves.

Wait! The Invention Of The Radio, Its History paper is just an example!

But later it was discovered that the invention developed by Marconi was based on the radio transmission system created by Nikola Tesla two years earlier, but this did not prevent Marconi from patented the invention in 1904 and took the Nobel Prize in Physics in the year in the year1909 thanks to your contributions in cables without cables. It should be noted that Marconi at no time recognized the place that Tesla had in the creation of the radio, since without this it would not have been possible.

Finally, the United States Supreme Court after the death of Nikola Tesla acknowledged the inventor as creator of the radio and returned the patent which appeared in the name of Marconi. But this does not mean that Marconi’s role was of no importance when the radiocommunications, since I achieve the first radio communication to cross the Atlantic. Later in 1948, three engineers called John Bardeen, Walter Brattain and William Shockley revolutionized not only radio but also electronics in general with the invention of transistors, this allowed to make smaller radioreceptors and therefore allowed the possibilityto send these devices to everyone with a commercial purpose.
