Transport security administration was formed to empower the national transportation security system through ensuring freedom of movement and safety of goods. After one year of foundation, the TSA undertook the responsibility of security at the airports and provided security personal that screens passengers and luggage. Today TSA vets all the arriving and leaving the United States and those flying within USA borders. TSA exploit the latest technology in controlling threats and ensuring security.
The team uses the layered risk-based approach in securing the Nation. The risk approach consists of networks working with stakeholders in airports, pipelines, and transit and law enforcement partners. The system ensures the security of citizens and tourists at all times. The system is also detailed to increase the quality of safety provided (TSA, 2015).
The TSA also gather intelligence from its data partners and analyze the credibility of information gathered. The security administration unit consists of the random canine team that inspects the airport (Bennetts & Charles, 2015). They check on the manifestation of passengers against the watch list to detect the unusual activities on the airport that suggest the existence of risks.
TSA have the responsibility of screening airport employees and vetting them during recruitment. TSA security screens all airport staffs who are not escorted by security to the operation areas of the airport.

They conduct name check and safety threat checks on crews before allowing them an escorted entry to the operational areas. Furthermore, employees submit their fingerprints to the TSA for background checks. Individuals who have been involved in a felony are not eligible for SIDA badge (TSA, 2015).
Transportation security is still a prime responsibility shared amongst various government bodies’ shareholders and aviation staffs. The Transport Security Authority applies intelligence-based security precautions to address all vulnerability involving airport workers and passengers to guarantee security.
