Information technology has earned itself an important spot in the business environment over time irrespective of an organization being profit or nonprofit organization. Various technologies have been developed in the business sector hence this paper is going to describe various vital technologies of business information systems that are used where I work at and further giving an insight into how these business information systems are affecting the organization in terms of its operations and delivery of products (goods and services ) to the clients. The impact the business information systems have had on the organizational work behavior and how it has fastened and improved various process within the organization will also be discussed. Finally, a summary of the importance of business information and the need to encourage various managers irrespective of their organizations to understand can be adopted and institutionalized for the greater good of the organization will be the last bit of this work.

Several companies and organizations are using technologies to run their day to day activities. This has led to crop up of IT divisions for overseeing networks, computers and other areas within their business. The following are the important technologies in the BIS in my organization;
Inventory Management
It’s crucial for the organization to sustain its stock to meet its future demand without having to over-invest.

It is also referred to as the Transaction Processing System requires for the interaction with it by the end users directly (Nordmeyer, 2018). This system is of importance to my organization as it quickens its transactional activities at the bank.
Office Automation Systems
These are one of the majorly used information systems in business (Al-Mamar, Aziati &Shamsuddin, 2014). It helps the departmental heads in my organization to manage information flow from a department to another.
The information systems have quickened various operational activities in my organization and have greatly impacted how the managers run the organization as they have to ensure everything is in check. Workers, on the other hand, are more effective and efficient in their day to day activities and more satisfied with the work they do. The organization as a whole has accorded itself competitive advantage as a result of these technologies.
Business Information Systems improves an organization’s marketing, customer support how the organization manages its resources. Hence to achieve all these managers must ensure they adopt technology and BIS in its operations as it will not only earn their organization a competitive advantage but it will also ensure that their growth is sustainable. Growth that can be able to overcome turbulent economic conditions in the future.
