 Being only about 3-4%of people with Down syndrome have translocation and only some of them have inherited it from one of their parents, side effects are that this alteration in each person is very variable there are common characteristics, butPhysical features, possible associated pathologies and the degree of intellectual disability will be different in each person (2).

Most children with Down syndrome have a mild to moderate intellectual loss, which shows inconveniences in the development of language and short, medium and long term memory. Cognitive stimulation allows to improve memory, attention, executive functions and language in individuals with intellectual disabilities. Results of social exclusion were presented in the population with Down syndrome, from different indicators of access to the labor market, education, support resources, benefits and social collaboration, taking into account their disability (3) from a social perspective (3).

In conclusion, Down syndrome is a genetic disorder caused by non -disjunction at the time of meiosis, resulting in obtaining extra genetic material. When having three chromosomes in pair 21 there is an excess of information that is the cause of all these characteristics described above. The most outstanding are muscle weakness, elongated eyes, small hands and low intellectual quotient. Despite all conditions, they are very valuable and equal people because they have the same rights, they deserve good equal treatment and respect, in addition to being very loving and tender. If they have been well educated and all the medical care they need may have been given, they can go far as any other person, to the point that they can study, work, marry and have a family.
