Value, Attitudes, and Diversity in the Workplace
An effective leader should have the potential to identify attitude and value in his or her team. For instance, he can test their integrity through checking if the staff is implementing duties under minimal supervision. According to the course book, the aspect of teamwork can be evaluated through monitoring how huge is the collaboration inside the firm (Pearson Canada Inc, 2016, p 6). This is similar to Tim Horton’s interview response on aspect dealing with the team working capability. According to Tim Hortons, the sharing of information should be open and fair for all members (Tim Hortons interview Answer, 2016, p 2). Furthermore, the concept of equality should be checked through ensuring employees are treated well according to the work ethical guidelines.
Consequently, the course book highlight that there are various ways in which staff`s attitude affect the leadership of a particular firm (Organizational Behavior, 2016, p 10). For example, employee`s positive attitude encourages teamwork spirit, causes individual to be receptive to leadership, and it also offers a friendly working environment. According to RBC Bank interview response, employee’s negative attitude destroys teamwork within the firm (RBC Bank interview Answers, 2016, p 2). Therefore, this means they share the same ideology with that of the book. Besides, the book emphasizes that cultural diversity is another factor that can impact the normal operations of the firm.

Wait! Value, Attitudes and diversity in the workplace paper is just an example!

Therefore, there are certain ways of solving issues stimulated by cultural diversity. The same idea is shared by both the Tim Hortons and RBC Bank interview responses. According to Tim Hortons, it is significant to draft activities that promote unity within the company (Tim Hortons interview Answer, 2016, p 2). This incorporates the firm`s annual sports day and general meetings for the entire staff. RBC Bank interview responses also agree that through putting the staffs where they best perform can also reduce conflict in the office (RBC Bank interview Answers, 2016, p 2).
Simultaneously, the book states that there are always generational differences in any firm (Pearson Canada Inc, 2016, p 16). Therefore, it is upon the organization leadership to utilize these generational differences. For instance, different generation can handle different clients at various ages. This means the young employees will be more appealing to young clients while the older clients will prefer mature employee. With reference to RBC Bank interview response, the firm should be compatible and comfortable with employees from all generation because they are all useful in the firm (RBC Bank interview Answers, 2016, p 2). This shows that he agrees with the book notion of generational differences.
The book also stresses out that it is significant as a manager to ensure that employee`s job satisfaction is always high. This incorporates offering the staffs a safe environment to work in (Organizational Behavior, 2016, p 7). According to both Tim Hortons and RBC Bank interview responses, offering employees enough salary and occasionally rewarding them for a well-done the task can assist in uplift staff satisfaction rate (Tim Hortons interview Answer, 2016, p 2). Finally, through offering career development program and goal setting program can help to boost the overall staff`s job satisfaction rate (RBC Bank interview Answers, 2016, p 2).
In conclusion, through reviewing both Tim Hortons and RBC Bank interview responses it can be noted that their contents are similar to that of the book. Even though their examples are completely difference in structure, but they all give reference to what the book is insisting. Hence, an effective leader should have the potential to identify attitude and value in his or her team. For instance, he can test their integrity through checking if the staff is implementing duties under minimal supervision. Additionally, the aspect of teamwork can be evaluated through monitoring how huge is the collaboration inside the firm.
