Ethical Dilemmas in Organizational Communication
The organization arrangement defines the roles and responsibilities of its members. Additionally, it presents the values of the organization in upholding ethics that promotes effective and efficient communication within an organization, between organizations and to the surrounding environment. Violation of these values and ethical proceedings leads to the disruption of workflow. Thus, the paper looks into some of the probable dilemma cases occurring within organizations. It presents the individual way of handling the dilemma and draws a parallel to what ethics dictates as the appropriate solution to the dilemmas.
Dilemma Cases within Organizations
According to the case on drug use in the production line by some members of the manufacturing company, it is my view that appropriate investigations should be carried out in determining the individuals involved in the vise. I would consider the opinion of not informing the other personnel liaison prior to conducting the investigation to establish who amongst them is participating in the matter at hand. Additionally, I would consider informing the boss in order to obtain assistance and advice on the way forward in handling the situation. According to Choi, Chun, Shin and Kim (2013), a solid performance is established through the observation of the employee ethics, internal ethics, and the external ethics. Thus, the holding of a meeting to address the issue is an appropriate step in handling the dilemma.

Information sharing is vital in ensuring ethical conduct in the workplace is observed. Hence it is required of the informant to share more information on the issues. It is also important that communication to other personnel is established to facilitate their participation in conducting the investigation.
As such, it is imperative to consider the dilemma on omitting information to achieve greater products sale. It is my view that in avoiding interference with the marketing director, the issues should be addressed in the return of the manager. In the meantime, the copy should go as is. In regards to Goetsch and Davis (2014), the customer has a superior value when it comes to the quality of the product. It is, thus, obligatory to disclose information about the product to the potential client. Hence, in dealing with the dilemma, appropriate communication to the marketing manager should be made. It will foster better decision-making and prevent jeopardizing the account or affecting the relationship between the copywriter and the marketing director.
A similar case is one involving a member of a task force under the dilemma on what to communicate during an interview session on the already disagreed issue. It is my view that the member should communicate on the two suggestions brought forward in the absence of the disagreeing parties. The member should, however, emphasize on his suggestions giving reasons as to why it is more preferable. Based on Choi et al. (2013), communication is indeed an integral part of ethics within an organization. In finding a solution to the dilemma, the concerned parties should put the suggestions to the vote.
In determining the way forward in dealing with Jane, one of the sale direct work team, I would consider approaching her on the issues to discover her reasons for not sharing the information with the team members. According to Robbins and Judge (2012), the maturity of the team members governs the understanding and the scope they undertake in performing their duties and in observing the ethical standards of the workplace. It is, thus, appropriate to confront Jane on the issue before informing the rest of the team members. The reasons she presents for her action should govern the next step in addressing the matter of concern.
Conclusion
As presented in the dilemma cases in this study, it is appropriate to consider an ethical approach to finding solutions to organizational related communication behaviors. A reference to the appropriate ethics provides a safe and agreeable solution to the parties and maintains a good relationship with the work environment.
