White Privileges in America
In America, there has been a long-term perception that if an individual is white, this individual is entitled to privileges irrespective of this individual’s financial background. This notion has had many implications for the way in which people relate in the US, the way individuals carry out their businesses as well as the way and place to which people live according to their skin complexion. This notion has played a major role in the achievements as well as the downfall to which the societal set up of the US, regarding the country’s security, economy, environmental conservation, as well as the international relationship to which the US has with other nations.
In this different essay aspects related to the way in which people live in the US their perception of racism, racial abuses, as well as the old impression of black people as slaves. This essay is considerate in discussing different organizations that are racial, and their main agenda is to spearhead issues that only consider bettering the life of individuals from their race. The essay also identifies the anti-racism groups, individuals who have fought against racism, the achievements made by these anti-racism activists and groups in ensuring that citizens in the US are not exploited by the race to which they originate. The essay centers on the importance of creating a racism-free society and the advantages to which a similar platform that ensures that individuals are equally treated irrespective of their skin color.

The essay also states the steps made by the government in ensuring that racism in the US is fought, the importance of fighting racism, the global perception of having a racism-free world, and the implications of racial equality.
A quote by Fox News TV journalist to which this journalist gave during an interview with a popular comedian on Comedy Central news. That journalist stated that subjugation of people was then, the journalist affirms that slavery in the US has been eliminated and that the most powerful man and woman in the world are black. The journalist states further the derivation of their strength is being honest and honestly achieving what they have through hard work and getting the adequate education, these are the tools to which an individual needs to have to succeed in the US. This statement may or may not be justifiable; the essay clarifies whether the statements are indeed true, justifiable and reliable enough to be used as an anti-racist slogan.
According to Bill O’Reilly, slavery in the US is non-existent, the strongest man and woman globally are black, and hard works with education are the important tools to which an individual is mandated to have. This statement has been subject to evaluation on its justifiability as well as the relevance of this statement if they will be implemented. The slave trade was criminalized some centuries ago; this is because the trade is inhuman and human beings can be sold. This criminalization though has not stopped the movement of people globally with the traders aiming at benefiting from them directly or indirectly.
In the US, there have been issues of human trafficking where people are illegally smuggled into a country with the smugglers aiming to use them as cheap laborers; trafficked people may also be used as criminals or even sex workers if the traffickers’ main motive is to involve the smuggled people in the sex trade. This form of slave trade may do out of an individual’s consent, or may be done forcefully. An individual falls victim of forced labor if he or she is kidnapped and taken to an unknown place, an individual may also be lured by the reward of getting a job only to realize that what they were promised was just plainly non-real.
The statement that education and hard work are the prime requirements to which an individual needs to make it America is indeed justifiable. An individual who is educated has adequate skills that will enable this individual to implement this learned skills to enable him or her earn a living. A hard working American will have his or her hard work paid off, and this is because hard work will enable an individual to strategize on how to survive and able to keep up with America’s constantly changing economy.
There is always a perception that the most powerful person worldwide is the president of the US; this may indeed be true depending on the criteria to which the strength is determined. The most powerful woman globally according to the Fox News journalist is Oprah Winfrey; this does not infer that because they are black, blacks are not discriminated in the US. There has been long time outcry by black Americans that they are being discriminated by the authorities as well as white racists groups.
These are evidently true, there have been several cases where blacks have either been discriminated or even been killed by the authorities (Joshua). In the US, in the past two years, many black teenagers have been shot, the perpetrators have always stated that these teenagers were criminals or posed a security threat to them on the occurrence of these shooting incidences. There has been a perception that most blacks and Latin Americans are criminals and these police officers who are the perpetrators of these shootings use the perception as a scapegoat for their deeds.
Law enforcement authorities are not the only perpetrators of racial discriminations; there are other racist groups that have carried out racial discriminations of Americans by their skin color. The victims of this atrocities are blacks, the example of these racist groups include; Klu Klux Klan, and other white supremacist groups (Lewis). These hate groups are for a long time claim responsibility of involving themselves in racial crime, most of these groups have formed a wide base to which individuals are recruited to criminal gangs.
There has been needing by the US government to address the negative issues to which these hate groups create in the society; there has been the need to ensure no individual is discriminated because of his or her skin color. To curb the growth, these hate groups as well preventing the recruitment and involvement in the crime of individuals from these hate groups, US law enforcement agencies have taken the responsibility of ensuring that law and order are maintained. These law enforcement agencies have come up with reliable strategies that will ensure that US citizens are not exploited by the race they that they belong. The strategies to ensure that people are not discriminated against hate groups include the creation of tough laws that outlaw violent conduct by hate groups and also prosecuting police officers who have carried irresponsible use of force in handling blacks in Chicago (Joshua).
There is the need for the US government to develop reliable measures to which its citizens will be able to keep safe from any security threat posed to them by hate groups as well as the growing influence of terrorist groups who for a long time has targeted the US after the US armies’ invasion of Middle East countries. It is because of these reasons that the US government has opted for the development of counter-hate groups and counter-radicalization strategies that will guarantee its citizens safety from security threats posed by these groups (Greg and Steve). These strategies have yielded quite a lot to the US; these benefits include general improvement in the security measures of its citizens. The improvement entails reducing radicalizing of youth particularly Muslims from involving themselves in terrorist activities by ISIL and ISIS. The US government has also improved the way in which law enforcement agencies combat criminal activities. This is significant because law enforcement agencies have able to deter the recruitment of hate group members into crime by hate group heads.
As described in this essay, slavery is non-existent, human trafficking is being practiced in many countries with or without the people’s consent of being trafficked. Racism in the US is still existing, blacks and Hispanics are still being discriminated against law enforcement agencies and other hate groups (Lawrence and Cybelle). These hate groups have made white Americans have the perception that they are privileged and that they are more important that black Americans are inferior. This has made blacks subjected to more discrimination by both the hate groups and state authorities.
