Reasons for Studying at Webster University
Webster University is among the top universities offering an undergraduate course in political science. I can confidently say, I settled to make my application to Webster university due to its’ outstanding reviews by its former graduate, exceptional performance, and its unquestionable reputation all played a big role in ensuring I made the right choice. Webster is also among the few universities that require their students to uphold the highest moral grounds and instill values of humility and service to the humanity. I can say that moved me and I am more than ready to join the university and ensure that I gained those values and virtues.
Once I am through with my degree program my desire is to continue with my studies in the same institution and join the postgraduate programs in the same department of political science.
I have always been fascinated by politics, how it has the power to positively impact many lives and that has been my major driving motivation to learn more about it. I have also come to learn that politics is one of the few things that are closely intertwined with life, bad politics perpetuated by greed and self-centered leaders will mostly beget poor living standards, low social status, and lowly placed economy of the society. But good politics played based on facts, good communication between the electorate and its elected leaders, who clearly understand the power solely reside with the people and that they are the only custodian of that power, and also that they only push the interests of the masses first before theirs then we are mostly going to have a flourishing society.

Webster University was founded in 1915; due to this its wealthy experience over the years this will provide me with much knowledge on how to instill moral values in running an organization efficiently. I will also borrow these values and use them in politics because it is not much more different from running an organization.
The institution is also categorized as an international university, which clearly means that it has campuses spread around the globe. Keenly looking at this, it means that the University admits students to its institution from around the globe and therefore, different people with different religion and culture are integrated at the university. Good politics call for the respect of one’s idea and believe. Therefore, due to its long- time experience in integrating different students I am convinced the university will offer me the best environment to learn this.
The university has also been registered as a private and non-profit organization. How a nonprofit institution has managed to grow and offer education all around the world amaze me and gives me confident of getting a quality education. This provides a room for me to learn how leaders can resist the over dependence on the government in solving every challenge that comes on their way, by developing the power to mobilize the community and come up with organizations that are communal based and owned to have a positive impact on the society. Then this will ensure good developmental politics is what is played out.
For the last two years, I have been writing political columns in our local dailies and I would wish to add more knowledge on politics and a chance to experience the university life that will help me shape my political views.
