It is common to worry about a profession choice, even when one’s skills, education, and know-how point him or her in a single path. But, once a person gets all of his or her choices on the table top, it’s significant to arrive at an informed choice. I have had several diverse professions that I wanted to pursue over the years. My plan A has been to initiate my personal business but I am not sure what kind of business. My plan B is to have a career in Human resources and my plan C is to start my own non-profit organization to help veterans. In the recent years, I have met many women handling more than a single career. There is a software designer who moonshines as a wedding professional photographer. A college professor who prepares food at the pop-up restaurant, and a bank who has a freelance writing career. These multiple jobs go fine beyond weekend trade jobs as supplementary revenue. Many find managing two, three or even four jobs, fulfilling and necessary for their general life and career development.
When organizations employ, they seek workers with personal attributes and skills to successfully cooperate with other people in the place of work, and complete tasks on time and well. Personal abilities are those which allow individuals to interrelate with others, manage and express themselves. One’s personal skills nature not only the manner they labor, but also the means they carry on with their everyday life. Personal skills aren’t hard skills that one could measure and quantify, like legal knowledge or computer programming abilities.

Instead, they’re soft skills; attitudes or qualities that an individual demonstrates. I too have my personal skills. My skills include adaptable, action-oriented and supervising. Making excellent business decisions is significant, but ensuring that the decisions are well implemented is vital to success. I am highly action-oriented and therefore I always get things done. Whether on my own or via other people, I make good on my commitments and ensure that other persons do as well. Whenever I want to undertake a project, I trail through on it. For example, if I am leading a project, I coordinate many individuals and activities to ensure that the work is completed on time. I often hold meetings with the project group to tackle a few hitches that may have cropped up. Therefore, I take practical action to resolve a problem.
The capability of persons, organizations, and teams to get used to modifications in their surroundings, stay pertinent and avoid uselessness is the outlining characteristic between failure and success, stagnation and growth, bankruptcy, and business (Doyle, 2013). When I am undertaking a task, I always address issues and challenges that come along. Excellent supervision influence organizational outcomes and the general work environment. Therefore, I have the supervision qualities because I do supervise projects until completion.
Again, I have attributes that would lead me to business ownership. I am persistent, cooperative and facilitator. When in a team environment I like everyone to succeed and therefore I would assist anyone to have the work done. When things get tough, I don’t quit. I remain focused and undertake what is required to realize my goals. I am a kind of a person who helps to bring about a result by offering guidance or assistance. These attributes mean that if I own my business, I would cooperate with my clients, employees, and suppliers. In case of challenges and uphill tasks in running the business, I would not bow down but persist until I overcome. In addition, I will be in a position to facilitate all activities and projects without difficulties.
With all the attributes and strengths I possess, I am either going for human resources, business ownership, or non-profit organization. The reason is that I can succeed in either of the three options. Owning greetings card store means that I would find myself working right with clients, establishing relationships with wedding planners, stationary stores, design agencies, or printers. In such a situation, I would not find ways to succeed in my business by providing excellent supervision and persist when I face storms. Human resource administrator position requires a person who can interview and screen applicants, orient new employees, among other activities. The proportion of the roles of the human resource administrator varies depending on the organization. The supervising role of a human resource administrator is very critical in any organization. Therefore, since I am good at supervision, holding such a position would enable me to execute this role successfully. Still, based on my attributes and qualities, I can start, manage and run a non-profit organization. Though the organization would not be making profits like an ordinary business, most of the attributes required to run the organization are almost similar to those needed to run an ordinary business. Therefore, since I possess qualities to manage my own business, I have the ability to manage a non-profit organization. Such organizations require persistence, action-oriented and supervising trains that I already have.
In terms of a career, I see myself owning a greeting card store or pursuing a career in human resources. A master’s degree in human resources management along with society for human resource management certification would be of great value in reaching my goal to become a human resources administrator or director. Therefore, my main desire is to aid other people to acquire gainful employment that matches an applicant’s work skills, is a good fit for the firm, and gets along with others as a team player and fair treatment within the place of work for each one. I believe my personal attributes qualify me for the career.
