State Trauma Advisory Committee webcast
In the presentation State Trauma Advisory Committee that took place on 24th April 2018 whose primary purpose was to advise the Commissioner and Department on issues related to trauma. It was made up of trauma professionals who met to expound, find solutions and research the current problems facing the trauma system.
Verification of the current trauma systems was one of the issues brought forward. All the centers are to be re-verified to make sure that the services provided are in accord with what they are registered for. All the previous designated trauma centers in the state have been verified according to Simmons. The 2001-2015 state report is yet to be completed, and William Marx who is the char says that by the next meeting it will be available to everyone.
Matt Bank points out that there were continuous difficulties in the uploading from some of the central database to the DOH New York State database and that the DOH should organize at least two webinar meetings before 30th June to facilitate trauma center data reporting to the New York State Database. The motion passed without any opposition.
PI project chosen in January, preliminary data has been collected from 16 Trauma centers, and 43% of it was proven to be accurate. An AKI validation process is created to validate the data, and this is to happen in a time span of about six months to a year. This will help in determining whether the state is above 43%.

The new data is to be available and reflect in the 2018 fall collaborative T-clip reports.
In conclusion, some challenges are facing the Trauma system in the state, but if all the motions and suggestions brought forward are observed, then there will be a tremendous positive change seen.
