I bring to your attention that I am a very hardworking individual who has exemplary analytical writing skills and poses both quantitative and verbal reasoning in spite of the Graduate Record Examinations Test that shows otherwise. To be sincere, I did not get enough time to prepare for this fundamental test as far as my academic progress is concerned. The main reason why I could not score the minimum requirements for the Graduate Record Examinations Test is that I got a short notice from my employer. This, therefore, denied me enough time to prepare for Graduate Record Examinations Test. It is an assurance that I could have done much better in the test had I been able to have enough required time in preparation for this test. The personal attributes, industrial field experiences and professional knowledge that I have does indicate that I deserve that rare chance in your organization to promote my career growth.
I have a special interest in urban and regional planning field that will enable me pursues my Master’s Degree program in without much difficulty. It is my positive attitude in the urban and regional planning sector that has kept me to repeatedly produce outstanding performances for my employer for six years now. To be honest, my responsibilities of planning and executing significant initiatives such as developing and evaluating transportation, land use, zoning and site development master plans vividly show my capability in quantitative reasoning that is opposed to the bearings of the GRE test results.

The proper presentation of the reports covering the findings from the field researches I undertake as the transportation planner and a traffic engineer has been complemented by the relevant authorities within ARAMCO hence a clear proof that I have competent analytical writing skills (Ramady, 2010). Numerous projects that I have worked through on multi-disciplinary teams have given me the exposure I needed in the urban planning hence stimulating the interest I have in the interrelationship of urban form, land use, environmental impact, and transportation.
In addition to the coursework, I am drawn to the University of Florida for other numerous reasons. I always will try as much as I can to work smoothly with the diverse group of people or rather students that the University of Florida does accommodate. I believe that these colleagues, just like me, are there because University of Florida respects the value of the diversity. I am also very much aware that for one to see the achievements of trust, honesty, and success which are much valued by the University of Florida, an individual has to create a respectful environment for the development of these values.
Since I have worked in team environments for six years in a busy organization, my teamwork qualities are so refined that I will get it easy to be incorporated into the University of Florida. It is, therefore, my feeling that I have a strong background which plays a major role in my ability to appreciate this fact. I also have confidence that I will match the high standards set by the university and be a valuable contributor to my class and the University of Florida.
As I believe that the University of Florida will provide me with a good environment for my career growth, I do clarify that I have developed strong analytical writing skills, quantitative reasoning and verbal reasoning from my six years field experience within a busiest oil and gas company in the world. It is, therefore, my belief that had I been given enough time to prepare for the GRE test, I would have performed well than what I got.
