In the article “Your Apple iCloud data is now stored on Google servers – surprised?”, Samuel Axon highlights that Apple has recently updated its openly available iPhone operating system security documentation to reveal that personal information associated with Apple iCloud service is stored on servers managed by Google cloud service (Axon). He continues to explain that S3 and Microsoft Azure are separate entities from Apple cloud services. In light of this, he highlights that apple does not monetize user information to gain more value in the marketplace. This was after a rumor that Apple was using Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure as a way of cutting down costs with Amazon. The author mentions that Apple ensures that user information is encrypted and stored without any form of user-identifying data (Axon). Therefore, he makes it clear that despite using Google services, data is not accessible or useful in any way by Google. He also highlights that Apple respects customer’s data.
The development of technology has profoundly influenced the information and technology industry. Technological advancements in this industry have raised concerns about information privacy in both the public and private sectors. The decreased cost of data processing and storage has made it easier for government and private data mining agencies to gather detailed information from citizens. As such, the data collected may be misused and hence violating the rules of privacy.

More so, today, people suffer information overload due to the massive availability of information on the Internet. This information may be incorrect and at times even incomplete and may cause people to make wrong judgments while basing their argument on false information. Therefore, as technology advances, it is crucial to develop new credibility systems to help users control the information overload.
