As the Chernobyl accident to the people of Pripiat

Chernobyl nuclear accident is very important, the largest nuclear accident that humanity has been able to show. According to the INES scale, this accident is classified with the highest value, level 7, in other words, as a serious nuclear accident. Although it is the same level that was given to the Fukushima nuclear accident, the impact of the Chernobyl accident was even more unfortunate, since today you can find large amounts of radiation in the place.

The Chernobil nuclear power plant is next to the city of Pripiat, 18km from the city of Cernóbil.

When the accident occurred, it could be seen that 4 reactors were available and also that two were under construction.

On September 9, 1982, a partial fusion of the base was given in the reactor No. 1 of the plant. The problem was recognized by the workers, but the international community was not informed until 1985, due to the secretism that occurred at that time with the Soviet Union. The problem already recognized was solved, the reactor base was repaired and continued working.

The serious nuclear accident occurred during the night of April 25 to 26, 1986, the number 4 reactor of the nuclear plant exploded, this caused a great fire that gave rise to the death of 2 workers and 30 wounded that night. Despite the severity that the accident produced the 1,2 and 3 reactors continued with their processes, due to the energy needs the rectors. Chernobyl nuclear reactor 2 closed in 1991, the number 1 reactor in the same way gave its closure in 1996 and the reactor three stopped working.

Wait! As The Chernobyl Accident To The People Of Pripiat paper is just an example!

The predecessor failures to the accident

Although the accident is considered as a consequence of a human error, we must take into account the social and political factors of the Soviet Union at that time. The lack of democratic social preparation leads to the control of society on the operation of nuclear power plants and that it does not have a culture of security, prevention of any risk situation. According to the testimony of Marath Philpovich Koj · Nov, (found in the book voices of Chernobyl) Exingenero Head of the Nuclear Energy Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Belar˙s.

… In each atomic center of the former Soviet Union, the emergency plan in case of a fault was stored in a safe. A type plan. Secret. Without having a plan like that you could not get permission to launch the central. Long before the accident, this plan is prepared precisely on the basis of the Chernobil Central. What should be done and how? Who responsible for each thing? Where was this and that?..

This exingeniero implies that the day of the accident in the central was not the emergency plan before the accident, this event could be avoided, it mentions that this plan should be announced that it should be done, as it hadto elaborate, who were responsible for each sector, this plan was never found or perhaps did not want it to be found ..

It is likely that the fear of the workers of the nuclear power plant for not complying with the expectations or processes received from “the superiors”, caused them to forget or get rid of the security systems that were necessary for the correct control and operationof the reactor.

A "serious failure" that can be considered in that accident is the absence of a nuclear safety regulatory body at that time, since it was not, there was no authority that was responsible for the processes inspection and evaluation of thesecurity of the facilities that were in nuclear reactors.

Social effects

This accident had effects on all aspects, political, social, demographic and economic, in this section I will focus on the social effects of this worldwide event.

In the town of Pripiat, the city closest to the accident area, the social effects were seen within a few days after the accident occurred, the sounds of the ambulances did not stop sounding in the streets, they began to evacuate all the peopleFrom the place, they were picked up in helicopters, however in other cases the radiation was very lethal for some people as was the case of Nadezhda Petrovna Vygûvskaya who was an evacuation of the city of Pripiat, she mentions in her testimony Svetlana Aleksévich the following:

… I sing in the church choir. I read the gospels. I go to church, because only there they talk about eternal life and comfort people. Anywhere else you will hear words of consolation, and you want to listen to them. Often dream that my son and I go through the sunny streets of Pripiat. A place that today is a ghost city. Let’s go and contemplate the roses; In Pripiat there were many roses;Great scarers with roses … He was so young. My son was little … And I loved … but all the fear I forgot … as if it had not been more than a spectator ..

He implies with his testimony the pain that the town of Pripiat felt, the loss of relatives due to the radiation began to be given, it reached the point where its inhabitants come to excite, delirine, as in the case of Svetlana Aleksiévich, which stillHe saw his deceased son alive.

The health of the residents of Pripiat

Within the social effects you can find the health of the residents of Pripiat which were one of the most affected before this nuclear accident. According to the testimonies collected in my two sources, chernobil voices and confessions of a reporter the health of the residents of Pripiat was affected since the first days starting by one of the firefighters who was in charge of turning off the fire caused by the explosion of the explosion of theReactor 4, according to the testimony of the wife of the deceased firefighter: the clinical process of hard radioactive diseases fourteen days … the fourteen days the patient dies … Upon arriving home I fell asleep. I entered home and collapsed into bed. I was sleeping three whole days … an ambulance came. No, ”said the doctor," she hasn’t died. Wake up·. It is a kind of terrible dream.

In this testimony, the mental health of a resident who lost her husband, Liudmila Ignatenko, the firefighter’s widow is released to notice her depression, the depression that a town felt by the most unfortunate nuclear accident in history felt.

According to the images collected in “Confessions of a reporter” there were a child who were affected with deformations due to the large amounts of radiation that their mothers suffering during pregnancy, in some photographs found in this book you can see children withoutarms, the photographer Igor Kostin shows his work in this book, after photographing the place of the Hachos and those affected, he also makes his testimony known since he is also affected by radiation, he died in 2015 but leftgreat samples of your work with the photographs published in your book. Patients with special costumes and others on hospitals stretchers with artificial respiration are some of the many photos that expose the pain of the Prypiat inhabitants.

According to the nuclear energy page, (specialized in events related to nuclear accidents) the closest diseases after the accident were:

  • 237 people with acute irradiation syndrome symptoms (SIA)
  • Between 600.000 and 800.000 people (specialized workers, volunteers, firefighters, military and others) killed in different periods.
  • 16.000 inhabitants of the area were evacuated several days after the accident, as a protection measure against high levels of radioactivity, establishing an exclusion zone in the most polluted territories, within a radius of 30 km around the installation.
  • 565 cases of thyroid cancer in children fundamentally and in some adults, who lived in the most polluted areas.
  • Other types of cancer, particularly leukemia.

Conclusions:

The Chernobil accident strongly affected the town of Pripiat, during the first 4 years diseases such as leukemia or syndromes such as acute irradiation that led to around 270 person died, in addition many inhabitants of the village of Pripiat evacuated the area evacuated the areaDue to the large amounts of radiation that was perceived in the place, until today you can find large amounts of radiation in the place that is why Pripiat is known as the ghost people, which has a lot of history in its chilling panoramic view.

I need to work a lot; that’s why I really didn’t have a single minute to focus on my thesis writing. These guys from Essay-samples are real saviors. I don’t know how they knew what my professor expected to receive, but they definitely succeeded.
