Biography of Pablo Picasso, Great Artist

Pablo Ruiz Picasso was a Spanish painter who spent most of his adult life in France. Considered as one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century, he is known for founding the cubist movement, the invention of the sculpture built and by the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore. Among the most famous works of him are the pre -Cubist Les demoiselles d.

Picasso was born on October 25, 1881, in the city of Malaga, Andalusia, in southern Spain. He was Don José Ruiz Blasco and María Picasso López’s first son. His father was a painter specialized in naturalistic representations of birds and other animals. During most of his life, Ruiz was a art professor at the school of crafts and curator of a local museum. Picasso showed passion and skill for drawing from an early age. According to his mother, his first words were ‘piz’, pencil abbreviation.

Picasso demonstrated an extraordinary artistic talent in his early years, painting naturalistic during his childhood and adolescence. During the first decade of the twentieth century, his style changed as he experienced with different theories, techniques and ideas. After 1906, the Fauvista work of the artist a little older Henri Matisse motivated Picasso to explore more radical styles, starting a rivalry between the two artists, who were later matched by critics as leaders of modern art.

Picasso’s work is classified as periods. Although the names of many of their subsequent periods are debated, the most commonly accepted periods in his work are the blue period of 1901-1904, the period of the roses of 1904-1906, the period of African influence of 1907-1909, The analytical cubism of 1909-1912 and the synthetic cubism of 1912-1919, is also known as the glass period.
