The first intentional tort that someone could claim my company Elite Freight and Logistics committed is defamation. This will happen when my company is competitively making the profit. The competing company in the similar industry may claim that my company claimed that it (competitor) operates illegally without a license. Second intentional tort is the invasion of privacy involving appropriation with the competitor claiming that my company un- authoritatively used the competitor’s likeness to get more customers from them. The third intentional tort is conversion where someone can claim that the name of my company was originally theirs and we decided to use to our advantage without permission (Dobbs, 3). Reducing the risks of these torts from occurring requires the company to create strong public awareness of its business, its legality, and intention.

In addition to the duty of reasonable, the company owes other duties including ordinary care to the customers of the company (Dobbs, 6). Ordinary care involves keeping the goods of our customers’ safe within our warehouses. Another duty is that of confidentially owed to the esteemed customers that the content of their package is not disclosed. The duties are important to be observed since the goods of our customers will be stored in our warehouses.
Q.3
An assertion of claims of negligence against my company is likely to occur. First, goods belonging to a customer may by mistake loaded for another person.

This may happen when clerical errors in the recording of details of goods may occur. The second circumstance may involve opening the wrong package of goods due to miscommunication that may lead to the breach of the duty of confidentiality. The company needs to employ well trained and continue training its employees in handling customer goods avoid these risks from occurring.
