‘Absolute Reality’ and the Conditions of the Female Gothic Outlined by Davison
Human beings tend to live in dreams rather than the absolute reality. It is based on the Hill House which stands by itself against the hills and the darkness is likened to the human behavior not being to perceive the reality of being in solitude and living loves to live in dreams (Davison 48). However, the attempt by Dr. Montague to unearth the supernatural manifests of the forces against absolute reality resembles the traditional Gothic elements on confinement and rebellion (Jackson 1). It shows how the society despite being confined in the element of reality still tend to live in their dreams as perceived in the haunted house with the notion of it being haunted rather than having the absolute peace in the house when one is given the solitary confinement.
Vance hating her sister for the death of her mother instead of facing the reality of life and try to associate with the people she disliked compared to her useless mother who deprived her of several elements despite her proficiency as a nurse. Thus, it makes this an aspect of female gothic aspects in the contemporary society compelling Vance to seek the Hill House and live in absolute solitude confinement and avoid the reality of life (Jackson 2). The identity loss, marriage’s dark side, and the gender issues can be eliminated through the perception of life as it is rather than trying to live in a dream like life.

Wait! Conditions the Female paper is just an example!

It is seen from the supernatural forces as in the haunted house whereby people have the notion of the house to be haunting people to the extent of deterring them from visiting the Hill House rather than giving it a try and ascertaining the perception through evidence-based events. It, therefore, shows how people love living in abstract rather than the reality.
