Strategic implementation can be viewed as the primary process which enables plans and strategies into actions in order to achieve the organization goals. To accomplish the set goals, the process of the implementation within an organization is faced with several barriers. For instance, resource constraints are some of the greatest barriers that the implementation of the organization’s strategies faces. The resources include financial resources, time resource as well as the human resource capability and capacity which entail the employees’ abilities, numbers, and their qualification. Time is usually limited and for a strategic implementation team to achieve their goal time must be well budgeted (Mišanková at al., 2014). The factor time in most cases is never enough as many budget planners are not the strategic implementers. Wastage of the available resources also plays a vice role when the teams mandated with implementations are not properly monitored or lack the necessary capacity.
As the main threat to many organizations, strategic implementations rigidity of managers and bureaucracy delay and at times lead to the failure of embracing innovation in organizations. More to the failure of embracing the change and acceptance of new ideas some managers lack the competence abilities to actualize the strategies put proposed. Strategic planning can be termed as a supportive unit of strategy implementation as it is responsible for the development of the strategy into a more detailed structure.
