Early intervention services in the United States

Early care is understood, it is the set of interventions, aimed at the child population from zero to six years, to the family and the environment, which aims to respond as soon as possible to the transitory or permanent needs that children presentwith disorders in their development or that have the risk of suffering them. These interventions, which should consider the child’s globality, must be planned by a team of interdisciplaim or transdisciplinary guidance professionals (early care group, 2000)

On Part C of the Idea Law (2004). This describes four principles that guide the implementation of speech and language pathology services. Early intervention services are services that are: (a) centered on the family and culturally and linguistically sensitive;(b) the development of support, promotion of children’s participation in their natural environments;(c) Complete and coordinated team;and (d) based on evidence with the highest quality available. The main approach of part C of the idea law is in the family.

The families that come to the early intervention centers are mostly composed of the middle class (69%), this category is formed by families with stable jobs of the two or one of the parents. Regarding the level of studies, people who have finished elementary degrees and with specific specializations, middle studies or diplomas predominate. The purpose of this work was to describe the perception of parents regarding early intervention services. Customer satisfaction, defined by Philip Kotler, is "the level of mood of a person that results from comparing the perceived performance of a product or service with their expectations". For Stanton Etzel and Walter, services constitute identifiable, intangible activities, which are conceived to provide satisfaction with consumer needs.

The sample or sample plan aims to select the part of the population that will be included and from which the desired information will be collected.

The sample used will be approximately 30 families, since it is considered that a minor sample would offer us data hardly being able to study. The type of quantitative sample will be used since it is the one that collects and analyzes quantitative data on variables. It focuses on the observable aspects susceptible to quantification and use statistics for data analysis. This studies the association or relationship between quantified variables. Bone and. Cascant describes it as a set of techniques used to study the variables of interest of a certain population. This method rests in the principle that the parties represent the whole;Studying a number of population subjects (a sample), we can get an idea of how the population as a whole is. It is intended to know the distribution of certain variables of interest in a population. It is not necessary to observe all the subjects of the population. It works on a representative sample of the universe studied. The sample must be chosen randomly so that it is possible to establish to what extent the results obtained for the sample are generalizable for the entire population. To “observe these variables, or collect the information, different techniques, such as surveys or measurement are usually used.

In order to identify the needs of the families that attend the early care centers, an information collection instrument has been developed, specifically a satisfaction questionnaire. A questionnaire consists of a set of questions regarding one or more variable to measure. These questions must be congruent with the problem approach. The questionnaire is a very concise set, planned in advance of questions designed to obtain specific information to satisfy the particular need for research information on a relevant topic. This instrument is "a useful and effective means to collect information in a relatively short time and tends to be less expensive". In its construction, open or closed questions can be considered (Osorio Rojas, N.d). Open questions do not deliminate response alternatives in advance. On the contrary, closed questions contain response options that have been previously delimited recommend that you start with neutral or easy to answer questions. But they also indicate that important questions are not established at the end of the questionnaire. The questionnaire will count from three parts, a first part of identifying questions, a second part of questions that will be focused on a Likert type scale with response options ranging from neck to always and a third, open questions where thefamilies have absolute freedom in their answers.

The elaboration of the questions has been based on the dimensions and indicators of the quality of family life according to the Beach Center, the variables to take into account in the family system of Perpignan, the protection and risk factors in the transit of family life, as well as in the experience of the workers of the early care centers. The structure that will be used will be in three sections: a) Sociodemographic information, b) Information on support and c) Information on family life.

The analysis will be descriptive, which seeks to provide objective, precise and systematic descriptions of phenomena without trying to infer causal relationships. It does not answer questions about how, when, or why there was a particular phenomenon (Humman-Animal Interaction Bulletin, N.d). The descriptive research seeks to specify properties, characteristics and important features of any phenomenon that is analyzed. Describe trends from a group or population. It only intends to measure or collect information independently or jointly about the concepts. Or the variables to which it refers. Its objective is not to indicate how these are related.

For data analysis, the SPSS V statistical package will be used.20, which is a special software, which is used to make calculations and statistical analysis, since it facilitates the collection and organization of the data, it makes it possible to know if the work hypotheses have been met, facilitates decision -making allowing to adopt theBest strategy.
