Ecuador is not prepared for automated systems

On October 17, the technical visit was made to the Coca Cola industrial plant. In this place, Electronics students could know the importance of technology in the industry, the procedures that must be met for the use of machinery, and the precautions that must be taken into account in the manipulation of implementation. However, from my opinion there are great limitations in the automation of this company that can be seen from a more general vision. These are: high investment costs, and the lack of staff training in use and maintenance of automated elements.

Retaking the previous limitations, the incapacitated personnel training in the management of the machinery can be highlighted. You can even collect that there is no associated group in the care of the implements, because their technology is out of our reach. As is well known, the implementation of industry automation allows us to generate increases in company productivity. However, "when talking about competitiveness and comparative advantages, a country must be inquired about the potential of innovation and the possibility of insertion and development of industrial automation" (Córdoba, 2006, p.122). In the Coca Cola company all machinery are foreign, as well as their technology, for this reason in their repair it is used to send them to repair abroad when the damage is serious, because we do not have the necessary knowledge and tools for fix them. This consequently generates a detail in economic production and losses, as a specialized personnel who take care of the possible problems do not present.

Wait! Ecuador Is Not Prepared For Automated Systems paper is just an example!

In addition, it is important to recognize that everything involved with automated processes has a high investment. According to Vallejo (2006, P.53): “The requirements in critical support systems, necessary for the operation of the technologies, raise their employment costs”. Which includes between these high costs: the maintenance and change of pieces, the implementation and generation of spaces necessary for the optimal operation of the equipment. Among all companies, Coca Cola has the advantage of being a multinational for which this type of investment is not a great limiting in its industries. However, if we take into account in more general terms what this huge investment involves, not any entrepreneurship is allowed to implement automated elements. Which consequently is harmed to the development of technology and automation within the country.

In conclusion, from my perspective even though automation presents great benefits. In Ecuador there are not the appropriate means and environment for the development of automated systems. Consequently, this can generate instead of improvement in production, arrears that can become losses.
