First, I would like to appreciate the efforts of everyone in creating and developing artistic works in the agency. My attention is drawn to the recent cubicle artwork that has been put in the exhibition. While it has been a great effort, I feel that it fails to reach the threshold of art standards. It is normal that not everyone will appreciate all the artistic works developed by the agency (Jones, 2015). On the other hand, great work should be a concept of realization and might at times lie beyond the range of general perception, and hence the public might lag in appreciating that kind of art.
The current artwork has been greatly censored- which goes against the expectations of quality modern art. Modern art ought to display things in reality and hence is likely to challenge the traditional ideas and techniques. This causes the conflict between life, culture, and art. It becomes the source of criticism (Jones, 2015). Traditionally, people have a certain culture and way of life. However, as the lifestyles continue to change, the cultural beliefs might become obsolete. This could be challenged through modern art- although criticism is to be expected. In presenting the changing culture, therefore, modern art should not be censored. It is in this way (representing reality even if it may be against the traditional culture) that the art would positively impact office productivity and success.
The acceptance of art will be eased if the people are made aware of the local and global culture.
