According to Enrico Moretti’s book The New Geography Jobs, it is genuine to say that middle class and poor residents in these big and wealthy cities can still thrive with their local service jobs like taxi-driving and teaching. The new geographical jobs impact cuts across both the haves and the have-nots since it raises the standard of living and the salaries in the big cities.
The big and cities labor markets are still suffering from the impact of local service jobs invention American labor society being a good example. The recovery mechanism threshold is unevenly distributed geographically, due to the variation in technological progress adoption leading to other cities blossoming while the rest still fastened in an endless recession.
The relevance of local service jobs in both vibrant and big cities remains stable due to the incorporation of the internet and the other software. This has created multiple job opportunities for millions of middle-class individuals without forgetting the averaged skilled who are the poor. The invention of the internet has propelled transformation of human life. It has catalyzed the process of job creation breathing hop to the poor and middle-class residents in the prosperous towns. According to McKinsey Global Institute report, it is evident that for every job that technological advancement through the internet has destroyed, it has completed it with 2.6 more opportunities with even better wages than the initial one (Moretti Enrico).

The middle class and the poor have vast of opportunities in these big cities as the capacity are usually defined by the level of its technological advancement. Technological advancement is depicted by the number of college-educated workers who are responsible for sharpening the innovation phase of a city. Innovative companies and high technology entrepreneurs usually modify a city’s ecosystem. Development of research institutes is not only beneficial to the scientist but also directly beneficial to the middle and poor class individual linked to the research programs. For every neoteric innovation job created in a city, five additional jobs get created for both non-professional and professional occupation. Based on the ideology and its future projection, middle and the poor class can still thrive in the big and rich cities based on their aggressiveness.
The scaling lifestyle in the urban cities in America has primarily impacted on the middle class and the poor in diversified capacities. The effect of inequality and the emerging lifestyle leveraged by the increased establishment of towns and alternating living routine by the rich has significantly condemned any better living dream by the poor. Key being the desire to reduce the commuter time, the attractive incentives and amenities, the city’s tale have transformed demographically, economically extrapolating it into the world-class, for the rest of the counties and countries to understand the epitome of growth, intellectualism, and elite. Inequality in America and New York, in general, has set the living trend of the prior occupants into real discrimination with limited attention paid to them, making them make reasonable adjustments due to their financial command as illustrated.
Unaffordable food cost: marked with the excited immigration of the effluent into the town who owns the capacity to do and feel what they have dreamt of doing than days, the living standards including the cost of living has followed the shape. Food suppliers have violently shot the price of food as the affluent groups with little to incur purchase at the prize that seems to be of a household. With this, the living standard in the city became unmanageable to the poor and the middle class (who kept imitating the lifestyle of the rich) thereby condemning them to dilapidated housing conditions of their match.
Inequality has exposed the poor and the middle class into automatic relocation. As an artifice of the ballooning cost of residential houses in the town afflicted by the raid by the new class, the middle class and a financially humiliated generation whose income cannot hit the march in town has faced the justice of the dictum: natural elimination. The landlords who act like are in conflation with the rich to redefine the population has openly ground the equality aspect hence restoring the bipolar social status between the rich and the poor, this in latter has seen the poor squeezed out of the city.
Inequality has subjected the poor into the ordinary servitude of the rich with little or ignominious to save. The majority category too has not been spared after being reconverted into a compulsory servitude to the state or the advancing economic conflict. The poor, upon selling their rights, to settlement in organized estates and cities due to financial instigations to suffice the rocketing housing and food prizes, never ceases to sleep with the big-mans’ effect. The emigration into the far distance from the towns and estates means an indirect increased expense on commuter costs to keep the job. In fact, it is everyone’s to integrate that this category of buddies shall spend enormously on transportation hence leaving negligible income in transit. Furthermore, the individuals become more volatile to the muggers and other similar gangs due to the increased expand while traveling.
However, the inequality and ‘forced’ emigration from the city created some commendable impact in security. The reduced population and face-off of the volatile groups have seen the town enjoy an exclusive security level therefore not just being a factor for condemnation.
