Experiences of a trip not very fast through Lima

The issue of our research is vehicular chaos in Metropolitan Lima. This has been treated from different perspectives, since it presents different factors and consequences. In addition, this problem affects all people living in the city, so theoretically did not cause disinterest to anyone. To understand their magnitude, its causes and impact on society must be reviewed according to our research.

The problem of vehicular chaos originates in the 1990s during the mandate of former president Alberto Fujimori with the decree of laws N 651 and No. 25789.Because of this, several small transport companies were formed, which began taking the avenues and even streets of Lima, creating spontaneous routes without proper planning. This situation, added to the migrations from the interior of the country to Lima and the credit facilities provided by the banking entities to acquire a vehicle, explain the excess of the automotive park. Also, it is necessary to emphasize that the responsibility of the problem falls to all, from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the Judiciary, the drivers, the police and even the pedestrians.

On the other hand, consequences such as vehicular congestion and traffic accidents caused by the lack of road education can be identified. Likewise, another effect is respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, which are caused by the environmental pollution generated by traffic. Therefore, people are forced to spend long periods within vehicles or among these.

In the positive aspect, this research has allowed us to understand more extensively a problem that we witness and experience every day, leaving aside the simplification of guilt towards a single group of individuals such as bus drivers and/or taxi drivers. However, this project has meant knowing more about the city, taking into account economic, political and social factors to obtain a clear idea of vehicular chaos.

In the negative aspect, about the investigation, the most complicated was the search for sources, since despite having varied information about the subject, small reports of news or newspapers were generally instead of more complete and deep investigations. In the case of finding studies, these were mostly from other cities such as Bogotá and Sao Paulo.

In conclusion, after having reviewed all the data and information collected, we can affirm that this problem is not a short -term remediable, since several measures of a political and socioeconomic nature must be taken to not only treat damages, but also the sources, but also the sources, but also the sources,All this by the mayor and citizens.

We hope that the efforts of our research can serve as a starting point or as support for reports, essays or other type of academic text. We even want to contribute to the awareness and responsibility of citizenship. On our part, we still have much to learn and say goodbye.
