Abstract
Many people have viewed hate speech as an act of spearheading racial prejudice and segregation among people. It should be noted that hate speech is an act of spreading information that other people don’t want to hear. In this aspect, it is true to posit that all speeches should be free to avoid government restrictions. Hence, that will enhance liberty and freedom for every citizen. The video by Roaming Millennial explains the reasons as to why free speech should be a civil right of every individual. This is why the first amendment should protect hate speech whether it is accepted by other groups of people or not. It should be noted that free speech cannot be accepted by every individual. Hence, they term it as being hate speech to them. This essay has attempted to validate the fact that the first amendment should address and protect the concept of hate speech.

Wait! First Amendment paper is just an example!

Te essay will discuss reasons as to why the first amendment should protect hate speech.
Notably, hate speech is accepted as long as one can defend and be responsible for their spoken words. Freedom of expression is one liberty that every individual should be given. However, it is depicted from the video that at times the freedom of expression may result to hate speech that promotes racial prejudice and segregation among the citizens. Free speech should not encounter any censorship or restraints from the governing bodies (Roaming 2016). The first amendment should cover hate speech since there are just parallel views from what other groups of people expect to hear. Therefore, there is no right to silence hate speech since it is this privilege that the governing bodies have been put into check by the citizens. Every individual should enjoy the right to free speech whether negative or positive. As a result, such individuals should be able to elaborate their speech to avoid insulting others (Emerson, 1963).
In a nutshell, it has been evidenced that free speech is a civil right. Conversely, hate speech should also be protected as long as one can be responsible for their words. Ideally, the first amendments should protect hate speech.
