My invention is called Distance Diagnosis Tool. It is a healthcare tool that makes it possible to diagnose patients while they are some distance away (Torres-Pereira et al., 2008). For Distance Diagnosis to work, it requires an internet connection, smartphone, laptop or any computerized device and a set of basic treatment tools which include a thermometer, stethoscope, blood pressure machine, and weighing machine. Apparently, the patient has to have these digital tools connected to their computerized gadget. The patient then has to video call with a medical practitioner.
The patient video calls the physician who gives them directions on what to do. After listening to the signs which the patient shows the physician advises the patient on what to do. They are asked to measure their temperature which reflects on the screen of the doctor’s computerized gadget. They measure their weight and pressure, and this enables the doctor to know the kind of ailment to be tested. Through a special gadget where a figure can be placed and an automatic prick executed, a slide is prepared and screened. The doctor examines it and identifies the disease that the patient is suffering from. This made treatment easy.
Distance Diagnosis has several positive benefits as far as health care is concerned. This invention helps patients to be diagnosed while in the comfort of their homes. They do not have to move up to where the healthcare facility is.

This is a great advantage especially in a situation where the patient is in a very bad condition, and the healthcare facility is far (Torres-Pereira et al., 2008). Since by taking them up to the facility will consume a lot of time a factor which is risky to their health, the tool is used to diagnose the patient. The patient saves the money which they could have otherwise used for transportation. As such, Distance Diagnosis is both cost effective, time effective and ensures quality healthcare service.
