Personality Trait of a Leader
Todd McFarlane as the president and CEO of McFarlane companies is a leader by all means. He is also an entrepreneur who moved from rejection to grace within a reasonable period. After failing to gain entry into sports, he turned into a comic artist, and he has thrived.
Some of the personality traits of a leader include humility. Todd was very humble and continued with his work as a freelancer despite receiving less payment. Leaders have high confidence in their abilities and also their goal (Law, 2011). Leaders also spread the spirit they possess to other people. For the case of Todd, he was confident that one day he would succeed in the comic industry.
A Leader shows commitment in his or her work. Such a leader can manage challenges efficiently due to the determination (Law, 2011). Leaders are always ready to take a risk. Leaders who take risks, at last, succeed in their areas of interest. Todd made a three million dollar investment in his company which was a sign of commitment.
In the global market, many firms are producing the same good which creates stiff competition. Companies are therefore forced to deliver high-quality products to compete (Law, 2011) efficiently. To provide these goods, most of them turn to technology like the case of Todd. Although the goods may cost more, they can compete well in the market. Leaders use technology to interact with customers and fans (Ng, 2008).

The leader is also able to answer queries through technology unlike when technology was not there.
In conclusion, Todd proves to be a model leader. He possesses the traits of a leader such as commitment to his goals and is a risk taker. He also has confidence in his goals and works towards them (Ng, 2008). Competition and technology have led to the production of high-quality products. The products benefit the consumers directly. Advancement in technology has made the work of leaders easier. The reason is that some leadership challenges are easily solved using technology. It is therefore crucial for every leader to embrace technology to address the work-related difficulties they face.
