Learning Theory and Types of Teaching

Introduction

In this report, the different types of learning that a person can possess in his life will be announced, and that in the student period it will be very helpful to recognize which one is identified, since, in secondary and university education the contentsThey are too relevant and with a large amount of matter, so it is sometimes necessary to make schemes, summaries, among others.

Learning styles are divided into three: auditory, visual, kinesthetic. Some people just seeing an image understand the concepts of which the spoken contents are treated, but in the same way there are people who with an image do not understand anything and make it easier to hear an audio or video, also people with a styleKinesthetic have different skills to learn, there are different ways and the person chooses which one is easier for him or her.

Developing.

They must be taken into account that there are different learning models: behavioral and cognitive. Behaviorism is the perspective which must be explained through something observable as images not through mental processes, it means that people who possess the behaviorism model are based on preference of everything that can be seen in reality (acts).

Thoughts, feelings and motives are not an appropriate study, since they cannot be observed directly. Classic conditioning and operating conditioning address to be two behavioral perspectives, they associate associative learning that is defined by being a learning that takes place when two elements connect in the brain.

Wait! Learning Theory And Types Of Teaching paper is just an example!

For example: if the alarm is associated to get up early, it is discovered what this instrument is for.

In the same way, it is obtained that the applied behavioral analysis addresses to behaviorism, is defined as a set of procedures oriented to behavioral modification through the rigorous programming of the events that occur in social contexts, this breaks down the different skills in separate tasks such as byexample, repeat, point, imitate.

On the other hand, the cognitive model is based on thought, this explores the ability of human minds to control the way in which stimuli affect our behavior, so learning is carried out by the relationship of various aspects recorded in memory, regardless of that they have occurred in different times and spaces to produce knowledge. This leads to new ideas about the representation of knowledge such as: memory, problem solution, understanding and production. He is interested in mental representation and therefore the categories or dimensions are: attention, intelligence, language and thought.

It has four cognitive models which are: social cognitive, cognitive information processing, cognitive constructivist and social constructivist. The social cognitive focuses on how people process information through conversation and social situations. The cognitive processing of information refers to the ability of people to maintain or capture the ideas that someone interacts orally, bone that is the ability to immediately understand mentally.

The fourth model that would be a social constructivist focuses on collaboration with other people to produce knowledge and understand them together, since it is many times better to dialogue what learned by each one then can be enacted in different sentences to better understand it.

Learning styles are the indicators of how people perceive, interact and respond to the different learning environments. There are different learning styles in which we find the following:

  • The visual representation system: refers to learning through images, videos these people are creating drawings through what they study or create symbols which are unique to them and then use them better explaining it because they know the meaning, today todayThere are several methods by which people who have the visual system are privileged because there are various educational videos in which they can easily be guided.
  • The auditory system: these people have a preference for auditory contact, it stands out for having a learning preference based on listening. For example, face -to -face debates where they are forces to listen, are very beneficial situations for this type of students with this predominant learning style. Many students also take advantage of this style to record their classes and then listen to them quietly. They usually have a more developed auditory memory.
  •  The kinesthetic system: In this system the information is processed by associating it with sensations and movements, the body, the kinesthetic representation system is being used. This system is used naturally when a sport is learned, but also for many other activities.

Learning using the kinesthetic system is slow, much slower than with any of the other two systems, the visual and the auditory. Kinesthetic learning is also deep, you can learn a list of words and forget them the next day, but when you learn to ride a bike, never forget. Once something is learned with the body, that is, with muscle memory, it is very difficult for you to forget.

Creation of links: This type of strategies is applied through links (unite or relate another), with what is already known and what is new, that is why links are of great help to easily learn the new, andthat is assimilated with something we already know, when the pace is already carried out, it will be very helpful if you have this skill. Therefore the person can create summaries, answer questions or take notes.

Structuring: It is one of the most effective, since structuring what you want to learn is the same as performing an analysis and understanding exercise, in order to achieve a certain structuring, underlined, mental maps or summaries containing words that contain words must be put into practicekeys to make it easier when ordering in structure.

Content repetition: This strategy is that the person is trying to learn something new is assimilating the subject by repetition of content either verbal or written form. For many it is perhaps the best, since little by little it is positively oriented in memory. The best way to carry it out is the repetition out loud or set key words in the texts.

Review of what is acquired: it is when personally the knowledge prior to what was studied, this means that under the same sincerity perform a type "test" and verify what is still missing and what is what I have clearer,In order to focus more on what is missing and associated knowledge to achieve the desired objective.

Conclusions.

Teachers play a fundamental role that is to identify the different learning styles; There are also a wide variety of appropriate strategies for each one, teachers have their own style, and simply do not know some didactic tools that help improve the performance of the educator and student learning opportunities;Whatever your preferred learning style.

On the other hand, learning strategies are procedures, which can be open or covert, these are more than studies habits because they are performed flexibly. It is necessary to keep in mind that these can be enhanced in different ways, each person has different skills to enhance learning methods, which are of great help to study and achieve a better understanding about what you need to study.

It should be taken into account that learning is mainly permanent in behavior, knowledge and thinking skills that occur through experience. On the other hand, in depth people not only learn different things during the time, but some capabilities are inherited.
