What I Have Learned About Sources
When looking for information required in the assignment, it is essential to select the type of information needed to complete it correctly. The citation styles do not need research from resources since it is something standard in all assignments and proposals. One should write down the topic, the targeted audience, and keywords. It helps to find the information online or in electronic books (“Library Tutorial”).
Once the student gets the critical information, he or she can search the topic of the book in the library catalogue. The catalogue has electronic books, videos, articles, and journals. The student chooses the type of source he wants to use. For example, if it is an e-book, then the student should sort them according to the subject of assignment. The keywords help in getting the required book in the catalogue. There is usually a large number of books, but the relevant publications are in the same category. For example, the books for materials and metallurgical science are found on the same shelf.
Again the student might decide to use the scholarly articles. The articles are approved by professors and researchers in any area of study and published. Most of the assignments require peer-reviewed resources to come up with the correct structure of assignment tips (“Library Tutorial”).
Library databases are arranged in alphabetical order. One can search by entering the keyword in the “search database” key.

How to apply
When writing the research proposal, one should write down the topic, purpose, and keywords. The student should then decide to use various sources in the library compare to get the relevant information. The researcher might choose to look for electronic books in the library or search for similar papers done by students in the databases. Google and FIU library helps the students get credible sources.
The student should then compare the best source with peer-reviewed journals and select the relevant information. It is because some online sources are not reliable and credible. Once the student chooses the best source, he or she should use Google Scholar and FIU library to search for different editions of the source.
